NBC has announced Minute to Win It,  a new game show that will feature contestants trying to complete 10 simple yet increasingly-difficult challenges for the chance to win $1 million, will premiere Sunday, March 14 at 8PM ET/PT.

Hosted by Food Network personality Guy Fieri, each Minute to Win It episode -- which NBC had previously announced as Perfect 10 -- will follow different contestants as they face 10 challenges that are simply designed but escalate in difficulty as the participant progresses through them.

Each challenge has a 60-second time limit and failure to finish each task in the allotted time will eliminate the contestant.

While the contestant can walk away and keep the money they earned at certain points in the competition, they will need to complete all 10 tasks to win the $1 million grand prize.

NBC ordered eight episodes of Minute to Win It in September, and the series is produced by Universal Media Studios with Friday Television.

Minute to Win It will serve as the lead-in for The Celebrity Apprentice third-season episodes, which will air in the Sundays at 9PM ET/PT timeslot beginning March 14.

The Marriage Ref -- a new Jerry Seinfeld-created reality series -- was originally scheduled to air in Minute to Win It's Sundays at 8PM ET/PT timeslot.

However due to NBC's termination of its daily, weeknight The Jay Leno Show experiment, the network has since moved The Marriage Ref to the Thursdays at 10PM ET/PT timeslot beginning March 4.
