The National Board of Review says it will announce its choices for the best films of 2017 on Nov. 28.

The winners of its prestigious awards will be honored at a ceremony in New York on Jan. 4. Television personality Willie Geist is to host the gala for the fourth year in a row.

"The NBR is thrilled to welcome the wonderful Willie Geist back to our annual celebration in January and to return to Cipriani, the evening's longtime home," NBR President Annie Schulhof said in a statement Wednesday.

"We look forward to being one of the first groups to announce and honor the best in year-end film-making achievements."

The NBR last year recognized for excellence "Manchester by the Sea," "Moonlight," "O.J.: Made in America" and "The Salesman," all films that went on to Oscar glory.
