Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth II were all smiles during their first joint outing.
Markle, who wore a beige pencil dress with a cape top, and the queen, who sported a floral dress and green coat, visited Mersey Gateway Bridge.
The pair met with architects, planners and other members of the community, according to People.
"At the opening of @MerseyGateway Bridge, The Duchess of Sussex joins The Queen to watch a performance by local schoolchildren," Kensington Palace tweeted.
The pair watched a performance from the Fallen Angels dance company and heard songs from a production of A Little Night Music.
"In the main floor at @Storyhouselive, The Queen and The Duchess of Sussex sit to view a performance of 'Drop in the Ocean.' #RoyalVisitCheshire," Kensington Palace tweeted.
The couple will make an official visit to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand in the fall.
