Married at First Sight stars Clara Berghaus and Vincent Morales have criticized Chris Williams' treatment of his wife Paige Banks.

On Chris and Paige's wedding day, Chris told the show's producers and Paige's bridesmaids that he wasn't very attracted to his bride and Paige was "not a trophy wife" and "the opposite" of women he was "used to" dating before signing up for Married at First Sight's twelfth season.

However, Chris was impressed with Paige's "fat azz" and still went ahead and had sex with his wife twice -- once after the wedding and again the next morning.

During the February 10 episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Clara and Vincent watched back a clip of Chris telling Paige that he experienced "a panic attack" following their sexual encounters.

"I don't think that attraction is fully there yet for me, to be perfectly honest," Chris tells Paige in the clip.

Paige then laments in a confessional, "I've never been with a man who wants to have sex multiple times that didn't desire me or didn't find me attractive."

Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight -- asked Clara for her take on that scene.

"Ohh, it just makes me so frustrated," Clara admitted.

"I'm very open and I'm very honest, but I don't think it's appropriate to be open and honest if what you're saying is intended to hurt somebody else. Him saying that served what purpose?"

Clara added of Chris, "It doesn't bode well for him."

And Vincent went on to share his thoughts on Paige basically being the last person to know that Chris lacked an attraction to her.

"Personally, I would have handled that differently," Vincent noted.

"If you're not attracted to whomever you're matched with, you want to see why you were matched with this person. And maybe there is something else in there that you actually really appreciate."

Chris, however, later apologized to Paige for acting like "an assh-le." He acknowledged his attitude was "horrible" and Paige had yet to see the "loyal, faithful, dope, cool and smooth" sides of his personality.

"If you were in Paige's position, would you be able to forgive your spouse that quickly?" Jamie asked Clara.

"Umm, that's tough," Clara replied.

"On one hand, it's like, yeah, I can forgive you but I probably won't forget about it any time soon. On the other hand, it's like, we did sign up for the good, the bad and the ugly, and they're only 48 hours in."

Given Paige and Chris were just starting out their marriage, Clara concluded, "So I think forgiving him and doing what she needed to do for them to move past it was the best way to do it."

But as Married at First Sight viewers are well aware, Paige found herself in another predicament after she and Chris traveled to Las Vegas for their honeymoon.

Chris discovered that his ex-fiancee, Mercedes -- whom Chris had oddly mentioned multiple times in his first conversation with Paige on their wedding day -- was six weeks pregnant.

On last week's Married at First Sight episode, Chris clarified of his ex-fiancee during a conversation with Vincent, "We've been broken up since May 2020, but that wasn't the last time we had sex, for sure."

Chris said his ex had known about her pregnancy "for a few weeks" but she didn't tell him right away.

During a nice dinner out in Las Vegas with Paige, Chris revealed that he had been intimate with his ex-fiancee when they reunited for her father's passing -- even though they were broken up and not on good terms at the time.

Paige admitted if that day was "Decision Day," she would walk away, but Chris promised his wife that he was "in it for the long haul" and his attraction to her had grown since their wedding.

Paige asked Chris if he still had strong feelings for his ex and if he thought there was a possibility of them getting back together.

"Right now, it doesn't matter if she's pregnant or not. You are my wife and nobody comes before you, so it doesn't matter what is going on with that. All that matters is the woman I made a vow to," Chris insisted.

Chris suggested to Paige they get to know each other on a deeper level, and Paige said she liked that idea because "God doesn't give you anything that you can't handle."

It appeared the couple had turned over a new leaf and were ready to take things on as a team, but Chris later had an emotional breakdown because neither Paige or himself seemed happy like the other four Married at First Sight couples appeared to be.

"I feel like I'm stuck in this and I'm crying because I've got a baby on the way. There's a lot going through my mind," Chris vented to the cameras.
