Married at First Sight star Paige Banks admits she would have never slept with Chris Williams after her wedding if she known he wasn't attracted to her when they first met.

On Married at First Sight's currently-airing twelfth season, Chris told production and Paige's bridesmaids that he wasn't very attracted to his bride on their wedding day and Paige was "not a trophy wife" and "the opposite" of the women he was "used to" dating before signing up for the extreme experiment.

However, Chris still went ahead and had sex with his wife twice -- once after the wedding and again the next morning.

During the February 10 episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Paige watched back a clip of Chris telling her that he experienced "a panic attack" the morning after their wedding.

"I don't think that attraction is fully there yet for me, to be perfectly honest," Chris tells Paige in the clip.

Paige then laments in an interview, "I've never been with a man who wants to have sex multiple times that didn't desire me or didn't find me attractive."

Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight -- asked Paige how it felt to watch that Season 12 clip back.

"I feel very disturbed. I would never give myself to someone who I know doesn't desire me," Paige revealed.

"So it's a lot to process, and I'm not feeling good about this situation whatsoever."

Had Chris confessed to Paige on their wedding night that he wasn't attracted to her, Paige said she would have acted differently.

"Yeah, it would've been a totally different night, you know what I'm saying?" Paige confirmed.

"I feel like it probably would've been better for the both of us [not to sleep together] to see if we could be friends and see where things gradually go from there."

But Paige suggested Chris had said all the right things on their wedding night, which made her want to be vulnerable with him.

"What was interesting to me was that night, he stated something that was really profound," Paige recalled.

"He was like, 'You're my wife, I want to honor you. I want to respect you and I really want to get to know you,'" she shared.

"So I was like, 'Okay, I can let some of my guards down. I feel like you're being really intentional.'"

Jamie then asked Paige how this whole incident affected her marriage to Chris.

"You know, I obviously knew that this was a risk for sure, but I definitely didn't think that it would be, like, to the expense of my mental and my emotional health at this point," Paige admitted. "It was taking a lot out of me."

Chris, however, later apologized to Paige for coming across like "an assh-le." He acknowledged his attitude was "horrible" and Paige had yet to see the "loyal, faithful, dope, cool and smooth" sides of his personality.

"The past 48 hours has been a whirlwind of emotions," Paige acknowledged on Unfiltered.

"And so we just needed some time to kind of be apart and, like, really regroup to kind of be like, 'Hey, I'm still committed to this, and hopefully we can both find the why' [in why we were matched]."

Jamie said she was impressed that Chris was able to recognize and apologize for being a jerk.

On handling her first fight with her husband, Paige said with a big smile, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

"Now, I'm not saying we know how to communicate the best with each other, but now I know what sets him off and he knows what triggers me and hopefully we can work on our communication style in the future," Paige explained.

Paige assured Jamie that she was "still hopeful" and "still committed" at this point in the process.

"I'm looking forward to what is in store these next couple of weeks," Paige noted, adding that she thought her marriage stood a fighting chance.

"We're riding this wave! We shall see!"

But as Married at First Sight viewers are well aware, Paige was in for more surprises and pain.

Chris discovered on his Las Vegas honeymoon with Paige that his ex-fiancee, Mercedes -- whom Chris had strangely mentioned multiple times in his first conversation with Paige -- was six weeks pregnant.

On last week's Married at First Sight episode, Chris clarified of his ex-fiancee during a conversation with his co-star Vincent Morales, "We've been broken up since May 2020, but that wasn't the last time we had sex, for sure."

Chris said his ex had known about her pregnancy "for a few weeks" but she didn't tell him right away.

During a nice dinner out in Las Vegas with Paige, Chris revealed that he had been intimate with his ex-fiancee when they reunited for her father's passing -- even though they were broken up and not on good terms at the time.

Paige admitted if that day was "Decision Day," she would walk away, but Chris promised his wife that he was "in it for the long haul" and his attraction to her had grown since their wedding.

Paige asked Chris if he still had strong feelings for his ex and if he thought there was a possibility of them getting back together.

"Right now, it doesn't matter if she's pregnant or not. You are my wife and nobody comes before you, so it doesn't matter what is going on with that. All that matters is the woman I made a vow to," Chris insisted.

Chris suggested to Paige they get to know each other on a deeper level, and Paige said she liked that idea because "God doesn't give you anything that you can't handle."

It appeared the couple had turned over a new leaf and were ready to take things on as a team, but Chris later had an emotional breakdown because neither Paige or himself seemed happy like the other four Married at First Sight couples appeared to be.

"I feel like I'm stuck in this and I'm crying because I've got a baby on the way. There's a lot going through my mind," Chris vented to the cameras.
