Married at First Sight star Paige Banks admits she felt "very devalued and borderline disrespected" by Chris Williams following their two post-wedding sexual encounters.

After Chris and Paige tied the knot as strangers on Married at First Sight's twelfth season, Chris admitted to the cameras and Paige's bridesmaids that he wasn't attracted to his bride because she's "the opposite" of his usual type.

Chris, who said he was used to dating trophy-wives type of girls, didn't tell Paige how he was feeling until the morning after their wedding, which left Paige devastated and confused considering she had made love to Chris twice.

On Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Paige watched back a Season 12 clip of her brunch with Chris' parents the morning after her wedding.

Paige revealed to Chris' parents she and Chris "had a moment" after the wedding.

"This morning, he said, 'On paper, we really do match,' but I'm not his typical type. To give myself to someone like that and for that to kind of simply backfire on me just makes me question a lot of different things," Paige explained at the brunch table. "It's confusing."

Chris' mother jokingly asked if Chris had too much to drink at the wedding reception and laughed off the situation, but then Paige clarified she had also slept with her husband earlier that morning.

Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight -- asked Paige what it was like to have such a candid conversation with her new in-laws just one day after meeting them.

"I felt like I had to be honest about where my head was. I felt very devalued and borderline disrespected as a woman, you know? And so, I feel like that was the space I needed to share that with," Paige explained.

"Do you feel like they had your back?" Jamie asked of Chris' parents.

"I definitely feel like his dad definitely was not feeling the situation whatsoever," Paige replied.

"I feel like his mother was trying to, you know, give [Chris] the benefit of the doubt, and I think she just was trying to protect her son the best way she knew how."

Paige was joined by her Married at First Sight co-star Clara Berghaus on Unfiltered, and Clara said she thought it was "brave" of Paige to bring up that conversation with her in-laws.

"[Paige was brave] to bring that up and talk about something that was not fun, especially when you've just met these people," Clara said.

Jamie then asked Paige if she felt content with that conversation or, in retrospect, would've handled the situation differently.

"I feel like it kind of just backfired and it just started more drama," Paige admitted. "So in retrospect, I probably wouldn't have said anything and just probably had another conversation with [Chris] one-on-one."

"But at the time," Paige explained, "I felt like that was the right thing to do."

Chris' dad Christopher said he was glad Chris acted like "a gentleman" in telling Paige the truth, but he later expressed surprise that Chris would consummate his marriage under those conditions, given his son hadn't been attracted to Paige.

"Going in, I wasn't planning on having sex with her, but I felt like maybe having sex with her would bring this closeness to her... maybe I would generate some type of attraction [or connection]... but I was wrong. There was nothing there," Chris explained.

Chris told the cameras he felt "embarrassed" because Paige shouldn't have talked to his parents about sex.

Chris felt like Paige was trying to "tell on" him like he's a child, and Chris admitted to Paige that he felt disrespected and "betrayed" by her.

"It seems like you have a lot of problems with a lot of different things," Paige snapped.

Chris ultimately apologized for acting like "an assh-le," and Paige said she didn't want to throw away their marriage because it would be a disservice to them both. The couple therefore headed off to their Las Vegas honeymoon on a positive note.

However, both Chris and Paige's worlds came crashing down when Chris discovered at the start of his honeymoon his ex-fiancee Mercedes, whom he had been engaged to three months prior to marrying a stranger, is pregnant.

Chris begged Paige to stay with him and see their marriage through, and Paige agreed to give it her best shot -- something she believed was God's plan for them -- as long as Chris remembered she'd be his priority going forward.
