Married at First Sight star Olivia Cornu has revealed Brett Lindsey acts like a different person on-camera than when they're together in private and so she struggles to know the real Brett.

Olivia, a 30-year-old nurse practitioner from Bossier City, LA, and Brett, a 35-year-old with a career in information technology from Gretna, LA, were matched by Married at First Sight experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Viviana Coles and Pastor Calvin Roberson to wed on Season 11 of the Lifetime reality series.

During Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Olivia watched back a Season 11 clip in which she and fellow MAFS bride Amani walked along a swamp together in Louisiana and discussed their marriages.

Amani shared how she had butterflies for her husband Woody Randall, but Olivia admitted those emotions "weren't present" on her end and it was "concerning" Brett didn't open up to her.

"He says he talks, but I just don't know how honest the talking is," Olivia says in the clip.

Unfiltered host Jamie Otis, who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight, asked Olivia if she's grown any closer or more attracted to Brett yet.

"You know, I think at this point, I look for little moments, and I have moments of attraction and I have moments of like, 'No!'" Olivia confessed.

At this stage in the process, Olivia and Brett had been living together in New Orleans and they were about two weeks into the Married at First Sight experiment.

"And so I'm just still waiting for the consistent butterflies to show up and to really just feel that connection with Brett," Olivia shared.

Since viewers only get to see what is documented and filmed, Jamie asked Olivia to reveal her dynamic with Brett behind the scenes, when cameras are turned off and they're alone.

"You know, sometimes when Brett and I are by ourselves, I can really feel like I'm seeing the real Brett and really seeing a little bit more of a vulnerable side of him," Olivia explained.

As Married at First Sight viewers have observed, Olivia seems to get frustrated with Brett in group settings more often than in private interactions.

"I feel like when we're on-camera, it's difficult to kind of navigate him saying certain things. So I'm really struggling with just really trying to understand who the real Brett is and peeling back those layers," Olivia said.

"So I'm just taking my time in trying to figure him out."

Jamie, who is still married to her MAFS match Doug Hehner, pointed out that's the right way to go about it -- "just one day at a time."

Pastor Cal joined Olivia on Unfiltered, and Jamie asked the MAFS expert how Olivia should go about navigating her conversations with Brett considering she's not sure when he's being honest and his true self.

"Brett has to undo some thinking. The guy that he is in private, she said she sees glimpses of his vulnerability, and when the camera comes on, it's 'who's this guy?' And he's not really being open and honest," Pastor Cal explained.

"But he's got to rework that. He's got to be the same whether he's documented or not documented and be vulnerable and be emotional."

Pastor Cal acknowledged Woody had "mastered that" and so he "needs to talk to Brett."

Olivia has admitted on numerous occasions marriage is a lot harder than she had anticipated, and so Jamie asked the nurse practitioner what she thought marriage would look like going into the Married at First Sight experiment.

"I don't really know what I envisioned. I kind of went into this with an open mind. I just hoped to find someone that would have fun with me and cut up a little bit and be serious when you have to be serious -- and just someone who supports me and my hopes and my dreams for my life and someone I can build my life with," Olivia shared.

"I think Brett and I are having some struggles as far as it comes to communication, but ultimately, you know, I'll keep persevering and pushing through and making sure I give it my best effort."

Olivia has been questioning on Season 11 why the MAFS experts even matched her with Brett to begin with.

The main issue seemed to be that Brett enjoys staying at his home with his cats and saving money for retirement while Olivia was looking for a husband who would join her on adventures and participate in activities such as sporting events and romantic dinners out.

Olivia said marriage wasn't coming easy for the couple, so she thought it would be a good idea to try to bond with Brett over inexpensive outings.

Olivia therefore suggested to Brett they should go on an airboat ride in the Louisiana swamp together and then Brett took Olivia rock climbing in the latest Married at First Sight episode.

"We're making large strides in the small things that we do, and that's making me optimistic about our future together," Olivia noted.

But Olivia's marriage optimism faltered when she and Brett went to a bar to play trivia with Olivia's friends one night.

Olivia believed Brett was full of random knowledge, but he didn't seem to know the answers to any of the questions. Brett didn't really participate or help out, and the cameras caught him seemingly bored and yawning at one point.

"The fact Brett's not trying makes me feel like he doesn't care," Olivia griped, adding that Brett wasn't trying to connect with her friends.
