Married at First Sight star Myrla Feria has explained what wanting Gil Cuero to be her "brunch husband" really means.

During Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Myrla watched back Season 13 footage of her first brunch date with Gil at a fancy restaurant Gil found to be too "bougie."

"I would definitely want you to be my brunch husband," Myrla tells Gil.

"Your brunch husband?... I don't want to just be [any man to you]. If I was just a silhouette here, I don't want you to just be happy because you've got a ring on your finger," Gil explains to his wife.

He adds, "I want to feel wanted, that's basically what it is. If this is what you really want, then show me it's what you really want."

"I really want you to have brunch with me," Myrla replies.

On Unfiltered, Myrla clarified, "So for me, I feel like I want to have experiences with [Gil]. I want to spend time with you doing things that I like to do AND do things that you like to do."

"So it's a compromise," Myrla explained.

"Six, seven days out of the week, I cook -- breakfast, lunch and dinner -- at home. I don't eat out during the week, but just one day out of the week, we can have brunch! And you don't want to do that? That's kind of, like, [disappointing]."

Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight and is still married to her match, Doug Hehner -- pointed out how it seemed Gil was saying he's concerned Myrla would be happily married and having brunch with any man, and not him in particular.

"I think he's misconstruing that, like he thinks I want 'a brunch husband,'" Myrla clarified.

"No, what I'm talking about is that I want to experience things that I enjoy doing with you, so that we can get to know each other and grow together."

Jamie, however, reminded Myrla how Gil didn't feel "wanted" by her in that phase of their relationship.

"For me, the thing that I'm, like, struggling with is that I feel like he wants to feel wanted and the only way that he feels wanted is physical, and so I have no other option," Myrla explained.

"If you don't tell me what you want, then I can't give you what you want."

Myrla's Married at First Sight co-star Johnny Lam joined her on Unfiltered and said it seemed like all the Season 13 participants came into the experiment "as incomplete people."

"The experts thought that the other person could draw out certain admirable qualities about one another, and it feels uncomfortable because it's so early and you don't trust each other yet," Johnny reasoned.

"But maybe, I don't know, once you let your guard down and you listen to their point of view, you'll maybe try some things their way."

Myrla confirmed she is "super open" to trying new things and Gil was well aware of that.

"I'm willing to try as long as it doesn't make me physically ill, which is motion sickness," Myrla joked, alluding to the fact she hated flying in a seaplane with Gil. "I'll try mostly anything if he wants to try it and I'm okay with it."

Gil previously revealed on Unfiltered that despite his differences from Myrla, such as her desire to shop frequently and buy designer clothes, he believes they have very similar morals, values and goals for the future. Gil also insisted he doesn't exactly show at Walmart and has expensive taste too.

Gil and Myrla also felt a mutual attraction, even though they technically weren't each other's type physically.

As the Married at First Sight experiment headed into its third week, Gil shared how Myrla had ramped up her affection towards him; however, he was still waiting to have their first kiss, and hopefully a passionate one at that.

Gil admitted to Myrla that if she didn't kiss him by the end of the eight-week process, he would want a divorce.

In addition to Gil and Myrla, Married at First Sight's thirteenth season, which currently airs on Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime, also stars Johnny and Bao, Michaela and Zack, Rachel and Jose, and Brett and Ryan.
