Married at First Sight star Kate Sisk admits Luke Cuccurullo's accusation she had a drinking problem a couple of weeks into their marriage was a nasty jab at her that set their relationship back.

Luke, however, broached this subject with the show expert before ever mentioning the concern to his wife.
"I felt like he slapped me in the face. That's how I felt," Katie told Jamie on Unfiltered.
"I felt blindsided when he told me he had said that. I feel like I would never do that to him. I would not do that to anybody."
Kate then explained how she would have handled the situation differently had she been in Luke's shoes.
"I would talk to them and think about exactly how I want to say it because it's a sensitive subject. I just feel like he did exactly what he shouldn't have done," Kate admitted.
Jamie then attempted to clear the air, asking Kate flat out, "How much do you really drink?"
"I drink sometimes at dinner with my friends, so maybe, like, three times a week. I think with Luke, maybe I drink a little bit more," Kate explained, later clarifying she's just a social drinker.
Kate acknowledged, however, "it's possible" she might have felt the need to drink more during the beginning stages of her marriage to relieve some anxiety given her dynamic with Luke was often uncomfortable and stressful.

As Married at First Sight viewers recall, Luke did not find himself physically attracted to Kate, and when they shared their first post-wedding kiss, he told his wife he felt "repulsed" and "dead inside."

"When we talk about moving forward, do you feel like you can gain trust with him? Do you feel like there is hope for that type of respect from him?" Jamie asked Kate.
"Well, I mean, I already married a stranger," she replied, "and so it takes a lot to build trust with a stranger."
"But now after this, I feel like we took a step back to Day 1 in terms of trust," Kate confessed.
