Married at First Sight star Jasmine McGriff feels Kate Sisk was still "confused" about her relationship with husband Luke Cuccurullo at the time of their mini-moon in the Pocono Mountains.

During Tuesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Jasmine, Luke, and show expert Dr. Pepper Schwartz watched back a Season 8 clip that showed Kate and Luke taking in the beautiful sight of a waterfall.

Luke joked Kate had the better view of the waterfall, but then he stood there looking right at her and said, "I've got the good view," to which Kate replied, "That's cute. That might be the nicest thing you've ever said to me."

Kate, however, was conflicted in that moment because she was waiting for the right time to tell Luke she had opened up to Dr. Pepper on the phone about their sex life, which was something Luke had asked Kate to keep secret.

"I think while Luke is opening up and everything, Kate looked a little sad to me," Jasmine confessed on Unfiltered, which is hosted by Jamie Otis.

"I think she still feels a little confused about their relationship, and it's sad."

Dr. Pepper apparently understood where Jasmine was coming from with that perspective.

"I think what you're picking up on quite acutely is that [Kate] wants to enjoy this moment. She wants to feel like she and Luke are having this great day as a couple, but there's been a lot of disappointments in the past and it weighs on her," Dr. Pepper explained.

Dr. Pepper was hoping Kate would tell Luke that she had previously disclosed to cameras they were sleeping together in that moment so they could deal with the issue and just move on.

"I think she didn't because she didn't want to spoil the day," Dr. Pepper reasoned.

Luke and Jasmine agreed with that sentiment, and then Dr. Pepper continued, "But secrets are weighting. You feel like you are carrying around a literal weight and of course an emotional one."

Regardless of what was going through Kate's mind that day, Dr. Pepper said Luke showed he "has game" through his compliment.

"Yeah, we were happy! We are happy!" Luke said, adding that he was "riding high" at this point in his marriage to Kate.

But Jamie was actually surprised that was the nicest thing Luke had ever said to Kate in over a month together, seemingly suggesting it was a little pathetic.

Jamie therefore asked Luke's thoughts on Kate saying it was the nicest thing her husband had ever said to her.

"That hurt a little to be honest," Luke admitted.

"Especially because... she wasn't trying to be hurtful. She was just genuine," Jamie pointed out.

"Yeah it was a little -- it caught me by surprise a little," Luke acknowledged. "But [I chose] not to dwell on it. We were having a fantastic day."

Dr. Pepper also explained on the Unfiltered special that people tend to "underestimate the importance" of having fun as a couple and just hanging out, really enjoying the moment and each other's company.

On Married at First Sight's eighth season, Jasmine is married to Will Guess. In addition to Kate and Luke, the series also stars AJ Vollmoeller and Stephanie Sersen as well as Kristine Killingsworth and Keith Dewar.

The latest episode of Married at First Sight featured the couples attempting to navigate their relationships and deepen their bonds with less than one week remaining until "Decision Day," when they must decide whether to stay married or get divorced.
