Married at First Sight star Danielle Bergman admits her husband Bobby Dodd wants nothing to do with social media because he doesn't have a very thick skin.

During a joint appearance on Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, hosted by first-season MAFS cast member Jamie Otis, Danielle and her co-star Amber Martorana opened up about what it's been like to read hate and criticism on social media as their season airs on Lifetime.

When Jamie asked the women whether they read comments on Instagram and Twitter about their marriages and portrayal on Married at First Sight, Danielle revealed Bobby took himself off social media entirely.

"Thank God," Danielle said with a laugh. "He's real sensitive."

"He is," Danielle elaborated. "He had a Twitter and we did away with that."

Jamie then asked, "He took it personally?"

"Yeah, he thinks about things a lot," Danielle replied, "and so if he reads something nasty, it's harder for him to brush it off."

Danielle continued, "A lot of people have a lot of opinions about whether or not any of us are going to work or not, but I think it is cool to see some of the people that defend you, that you don't even know."

Amber -- who is married to Dave Flaherty on Season 7, which is based in Dallas, TX -- agreed with Danielle, saying, "Those people are great. When you get that one comment, you're like, 'Oh, thank you!'"

"And you wish you could be like, 'Come on, keep going!' Because they're so nice," Danielle explained.

As for Amber, she admitted to Jamie that she does read all of the comments on her different social media platforms.

"I can't help it," Amber confessed. "I told myself before, 'I'm not going to read them,' but knowing that they're out there, it's so hard not to! And people are brutal."

Amber revealed people like to talk "a lot about [her] looks," but she's able to laugh at some of the comments when she thinks to herself, "Hey, you're actually right!"

"I'm just kind of finding it funny, because I think that's the only thing you can do," Amber noted.
