Married at First Sight: Honeymoon Island, Episode 7

The broadcast began where last week's episode had left off, with Pastor Cal revealing his big surprise on Day 17 -- that most of the cast members would be able to see and consult with their parents or close relatives on Honeymoon Island.

Pastor Cal was then shown welcoming Katie's parents Taree and Andrew, Kimber's dad and stepmom Sherman and Sam, and Shannon's mom and sister Hertha and Ariel.

Chris, however, was unable to see his young daughter, Bella, because his parents apparently didn't have passports.

Katie first sat down with Eric and her parents, and he opened up about his business regarding medicinal cannabis, which was a bit shocking for Taree and Andrew.

Eric was so nervous that he ended up talking a lot about exotic fruits, and the meeting didn't exactly go perfectly.

Kimber and Shannon's families then sat down together, and receiving a blessing was very important for both individuals in the relationship. Hertha called Kimber a very beautiful girl, but Shannon was more worried about his overprotective sister.

It wasn't long before Kimber dropped a bomb, that she was living with Shannon on the island. Shannon's mother was "in shock" and the situation didn't sit well with her.

Kimber revealed she had lived with four men in the past, and that information even caught her own father off-guard. Ariel wasn't happy with this news, asking the cameras, "How many trials and errors do you need?"

The conversation then switched to whether Kimber would like to welcome children, which was obviously a point of contention for the couple.

Kimber wanted Shannon's family to accept her, but she also didn't want to feel pressured to have kids based on "other people's views on life." And Shannon was able to get Kimber to "a maybe."

Jona and Brandin then woke up next to each other on Day 18, and Brandin admitted she'd be very busy over the next few months. Jona was willing to move for Brandin since she owns a store.

Jona was ready to do whatever it takes to be married and make this relationship work. Jona did not want to leave Honeymoon Island and enter a long-distance relationship.

Afterward, Jada Skyped with her parents Brenda and Emmett, who couldn't make the trip to St. Lucia. Jada missed them so much and craved their insight and advice.

Chris then walked into the room and got to meet them over video chat. Chris was put on the spot and had to sing "Amazing Grace" with her father, but the little chat went great and Jada was really happy.

Meanwhile, Kimber spent some alone time with her parents. His father asked if she was really falling in love or just got swept up in the moment, and Kimber said they were actively working on cultivating a strong relationship every day.

Sherman admitted he liked Shannon, especially the fact he'd like to have children one day. Sherman hoped to become a grandfather at some point, and he joked about how the grandkids would be good looking if Kimber ended up with Shannon.

Shannon's loved ones, however, were worried about him compromising his principles because he never wanted to live with a woman before marriage.

Shannon insisted he was happy with Kimber and she could definitely be "wife material." Ariel eventually came around, saying Kimber seemed like a genuine person, but she thought it was "wack" the couple already had sex.

Katie then sat down with her parents and confessed she was nervous about how much Eric has to travel for work, mainly because she had been really hurt by an ex who seemed to drop all forms of communication when he was away.

Afterward, Pastor Cal sat down with Jona and Brandin for a chat to find out whether this couple would be ready to wed once they left the island. Pastor Cal felt every time they took two steps forward, they would take one step back.

Jona gushed about how hilarious and kind Brandin is, and he couldn't believe he had fallen so head over heels for the girl -- claiming it's very unlike him to become so invested in someone so quickly.

"I know without a doubt Brandin is one in a million," Jona told the cameras, before revealing to Pastor Cal he'd like to propose marriage at the end of the process.

"I am going to ask her if she is willing to spend the rest of her life with me... The odds of whether Brandin is going to say yes or no, I truly think it's 50/50. But my gut is 100 percent telling me that I would be the fool if I did not do this."

Chris was then shown FaceTiming with his adorable daughter Bella. He said he never brought a woman around his daughter before, which made Jada feel that much more important and special when she got to join in the video chat.

Jada thought Bella was so beautiful and precious, and she couldn't wait to meet her in person.

"You are the first girl I ever introduced to my daughter," Chris told Jada.

Jada felt closer to marriage than ever before since Chris had taken such a leap of faith with her.

Kimber then enjoyed a pool day with Shannon's sister and mother. Kimber said she had been in four serious back-to-back relationships from the age of 14 to 26, with the longest romance lasting four years.

Kimber had been single for a year-and-a-half prior to meeting Shannon, which sparked concern for Ariel she's a "serial relationship person." But Kimber acknowledged her faults and said she's at a place in her life where she'd like to have a long-term partner.

Hertha and Ariel made it known they'd be okay if Kimber decided not to have children, and she cried because their support meant so much to her. Ariel said Kimber had the "potential to be a great sister-in-law," although she hoped things wouldn't move too fast.

The episode concluded with Jona asking Brandin's mother, Susan, for permission and her blessing to pop the question via Skype. Jona said he didn't want to risk losing that one-in-a-million girl out of fear things may not work out or he gets rejected.

The broadcast ended on a cliffhanger, before Susan could share her response with Jona.
