And in a surprise ending, all three couples decided to stay together and try to make their marriages work long-term!

Tristan and Mia's decision probably shocked fans given Mia had already threatened her husband with divorce and Tristan had seemingly kicked his wife out of their apartment earlier in the season. The pair had a tumultuous relationship filled with fights, and Mia was even arrested ahead of their honeymoon.

The Married at First Sight broadcast began on Day 52 of marriage, which was only three days before the ultimate "Decision Day."

All three couples gathered together at a restaurant to discuss their experiences so far, and then each individual was shown seeking advice from either family members of friends with only two days left until "Decision Day."

Dave met with two of his groomsmen, Will and Kelly; Mia spoke with her friend Natasha; Tristan chatted with his mother on the phone; Amber met with two of her best friends, Zakiyah and Ashley; Danielle checked in with her pal Tristan; and Bobby had lunch with his sister Tricia.

Dave admitted there was a 51% chance his marriage to Amber was going to last and he was "on the fence" about divorcing her.

Dave acknowledged such news would upset and hurt Amber, but he thought there were many differences between them and they had gone through a lot of ups and downs.

As for Amber, she began to wonder if Dave is the person she wants to be her husband given she spent the whole journey questioning whether he liked her and she was good enough for him.

Meanwhile, Mia Bally was "emotionally drained," and Tristan was tired of rehashing old arguments.

Bobby and Danielle, however, appeared confident in their relationship and seemed to have high hopes for their life together. Bobby was madly in love with his wife, but he was still waiting to hear an "I love you" from her. That's all Bobby needed to feel completely secure in his marriage.

In the remaining hours before "Decision Day," each couple spent more time with each other in attempt to make the right choice for their lives and their future.

Bobby admitted to Danielle he had already made his decision early into the process and Married at First Sight had been the best eight weeks of his life. Danielle, however, stayed quiet and didn't say anything complimentary in return, making Bobby wonder whether they were truly on the same page.

Similarly, Dave refused to tell Amber how exactly he was feeling, and she had no idea whether he was going to divorce her. Amber felt more insecure than ever, but she could only hope for the best.

The night before "Decision Day," each couple spent the night alone, and Mia noted she had a lot to think about and Tristan was unsure about what he was going to do. It was a time of self-reflection and serious thought for every show pairing.

Bobby and Danielle's meeting with the experts came first, and Bobby noted divorce was an "absolute last resort" for him, so he was scared.

After sitting down with Dr. Jessica Griffin, Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson, Danielle expressed how being married to Bobby was a lot easier than she thought it was going to be, and Bobby called Danielle his "best friend."

The couple had no major conflict this season, and both individuals acknowledged they weren't afraid to fight -- it just hadn't happened yet.

Danielle was then about to reveal her decision to Bobby, but he decided to speak first just to confirm how he was feeling about her.

"These eight weeks have been the best eight weeks of my life, and you really don't know going into this situation what you're going to get, and I'm just glad I got you. Ultimately, I want you to know that I chose you and I chose you to commit to for the rest of my life. I want to be with you for the rest of my days," Bobby said.

Bobby then got down on one knee and presented Danielle with a gorgeous engagement ring. He wanted to know if she'd be with him forever.

"Bobby, I think it's a crazy situation but how I feel about you is something I didn't think was possible. I feel like I've gotten a best friend. I am just completely head over heels in love with you. This is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me," Danielle shared.

Bobby said hearing that Danielle loved him for the first time meant "the world" to him, and their love story made the three experts cry.

Danielle said, "Yes," to Bobby's question adding, "I absolutely want to stay married."

Danielle and Bobby agreed Married at First Sight surpassed all of their expectations and anything they ever could have imagined. Danielle noted she looks forward to sharing this story with their grandchildren.

Mia and Tristan's decision was up next. The couple had a "challenging yet rewarding eight weeks," according to Mia, but they also had some "explosive fights."

Tristan was "beyond confused" before meeting with Mia and the experts, who had no idea what this pair was going to decide.

Tristan said he had forgiven himself and Mia for any of the hurt or mistakes that had transpired in their marriage, but he apparently did feel disrespected when Mia walked out on him and threatened divorce. Tristan added he felt like a failure as a husband.

Tristan trusted his wife but admitted time would improve the situation and heal his lingering wounds.

"Mia, we have been through more in these eight weeks than some people have gone through in years -- guessing, shutting down, and talking really figured things out. I've always struggled with commitment, and the thing is that I really want to stay married to you," Tristan told his wife.

Mia the replied, "We definitely have had our ups and downs, and I never know how you're going to react when I tell you certain things. And so, it's really the reactions that I'm worried about."

She continued, "I know in the future we're going to have more hurdles to cross, but the best part is that I'm going to have you to cross them with me. So I totally want to stay together. I feel like if we were able to get through all this stuff, we can honestly get through anything."

Mia said she was definitely in love with Tristan and was looking forward to moving to Houston, TX, to start the next chapter in their lives.

Mia assured Tristan she would never leave him and would always be there for him, and then Tristan promised to continue striving to be the best man possible -- the man whom she deserves.

Tristan told the cameras Mia has a beautiful heart and he was lucky to have been matched with her.

The outcome of Dave and Amber's romance was then shown. Dave still wasn't sure what he wanted to do, but Amber noted their communication had improved over time.

While Dave was feeling "good" heading into "Decision Day," Amber was "anxious, confused and nervous."

Dave expressed how Amber has emotional outbursts and strong reactions to things while he's a laid-back guy. Dealing with that behavior was the most challenging part of his marriage, but Dave said patience was key and he just had to learn to wait for Amber to calm down.

Dave also vented about how Amber heard what she wanted to hear when they'd have tense conversations about his physical appearance and what not. Amber confessed she didn't always feel secure in the marriage because she didn't know how Dave was feeling.

Amber hoped Dave's feelings would be further along for her at this point, but they had a lot of good times.

"I'm feeling confused because of this whole process, but I want to stay married," Amber told Dave. "Because even though this has been one of the most challenging things I've ever done, I think it's all been worth it and I think you're worth it. I think we can grow and be in the place I want us to be in."

Dave then replied, "It's been a process, the process of getting to know each other and going through some conflict and having moments when we were at our breaking point. It wasn't easy; it wasn't fun. Today, sitting here with you, I don't want to rush any of this. I don't want to rush feelings. I just want more time. The only thing holding me back is time. I want to stay married."

Dave continued, "I want to choose to be with you and to continue this marriage and continue working towards what I think could be an amazing future together... This whole crazy thing that we're doing, I don't think I could possibly imagine doing it with anyone else. Marriage to you has been awesome in so many ways. It's been challenging."

Dave explained how Amber had pushed him out of his comfort zone and helped him grow.

"You've shown me so much of who you are, and you've shown me what a good partner you can be. I think it's been an amazing experience... there's been so much [positivity]," Dave concluded.

Amber said she was excited to wake up next to Dave every morning, and Dave was looking forward to becoming the best husband he could be for her.

The season concluded with each couple returning to their normal lives and preparing to be married off-camera.

Danielle felt "so lucky" that Bobby proposed to her, and beautiful things were happening for each couple. Bobby gushed about how children were going to be a part of their future, and Tristan noted he loved Mia "dearly."

Amber hoped to welcome a baby soon, but until then, she said she'd settle for a brother for her cat Paisley.

In next week's Married at First Sight reunion special, the couples will share updates on their marriages and lives. Have their marriages survived or did things unravel at the seams?
