Married at First Sight expert Dr. Viviana Coles says she is relieved Paige is finally making the choice to leave her marriage to Chris Williams.

Chris and Paige attempted to bond through activities and create chemistry several weeks into the Married at First Sight experiment, but Chris ultimately determined Paige wasn't a good communicator and he was forcing a connection that simply wasn't there.

After all of Paige's efforts and patience, she burst into tears at the thought of getting a divorce and appeared to have her heart broken.

During Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Viviana and Married at First Sight stars Ryan Oubre and Briana Myles watched back a Season 12 clip of Paige telling her brother that Chris said he was going through a reconciliation process with his pregnant ex-fiancee Mercedes Myrick and wanted a divorce.

"You never even went bare minimum, let alone above and beyond to kind of figure out our marriage, a friendship, anything," Paige laments of Chris in the clip.

"It's time for me to regain my own sense of purpose and to really find what loving myself looks like. I was a woman that came in there whole and he tried to leave me broken, but that didn't happen. My cup may be a little empty, but I'll be fine."

Paige acknowledged how she was walking away from the situation with the realization it's important to choose yourself sometimes.

Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight -- noted, "I just respect her so much," and then asked Viviana for her thoughts on that clip.

"It's so terrible to hear that she's had such a tough time. We know this, we've seen it. But it's actually really great to finally see her say, 'I don't want this.' She does not want," Viviana began, before admitting that she was "getting choked up about it."

"I get very fired up about this. I'm like, I really want her to feel empowered finally for herself to make the choice to leave this marriage."

Viviana continued, "It hasn't happened yet, but it looks like it's finally happening. So I'm relieved."

Jamie asked Briana whether she was relieved as well that Paige and Chris' marriage was over.

"From Day 1, it's just been terrible," Briana said. "So I can't say that I am relieved that her marriage is over. I would have just preferred if it were under different circumstances with a different person."

On Chris and Paige calling it quits, Ryan added, "I think Paige has to do what's right for Paige."

"I think she has poured in and given so much, and she's been so selfless this entire time that she has every right to be -- selfish is not the right word -- but do what's right for her and start that healing process and getting back to being the Paige we first met," Ryan explained.

And Jamie agreed with the Season 12 cast members and pointed out, "I am just so proud of [Paige] and I'm so eager to see what's in the future for her."

On the latest Married at First Sight Season 12 episode, MAFS expert Dr. Pepper Schwartz apologized to Paige for how her journey on the show had ended.

"I thought that you guys were going to be a great couple. We all did. We thought we had somebody who was going to be the right partner, that everything on paper looked good, that what he told us looked good," Pepper explained.

"And we had no idea what a mess of a life he had behind the curtain... I want you to know that you're a superior human being. If he wasn't such an extraordinary narcissist -- I'm not going to mince words on my opinion -- he would recognize that. And I don't want you to take that garbage!"

Pepper said Paige deserved "so much better" and Chris didn't think about anybody but himself.

MAFS expert Pastor Calvin Roberson also met with Chris one-on-one and Chris admitted he wasn't attracted to Paige due to her "physical features," namely her face. Chris accused the experts of not picking "a beautiful queen" for him based on his tastes.

"In every other area, she was qualified -- it's just you didn't like her face," Pastor Cal said, adding that Chris never gave Paige a real chance.

Pastor Cal told Chris his behavior on Married at First Sight was not his "finest hour," especially when he bought a new car for his ex-fiancee, and he needs to work on himself in order to be ready for his next serious relationship.

"Don't you think you at least owe Paige an apology for what you've put her through?" Pastor Cal asked.

"I don't. I can't apologize to her for that," Chris replied.

Paige was then shown moving out of her Married at First Sight apartment by herself with unanswered questions, but she said she was "still hopeful" about finding love with the right man.

However, a preview of Decision Day aired on Married at First Sight: The Journey So Far and showed Chris telling the experts he and Paige were still "undecided" about whether to stay married or get a divorce.

The conversation clearly indicates Paige and Chris opted to give their relationship another shot at some point after Chris asked for a divorce for the second time.
