Lauren Alaina is dating someone new following her split from Alex Hopkins.

The 24-year-old singer confirmed her relationship with comedian John Crist during Wednesday's episode of the Bobby Bones Show.

Alaina introduced Crist as her boyfriend during her interview with host Bobby Bones. She initially connected with Crist on Instagram after responding to one of his videos, but Crist wasn't sure who she was.

"He said, 'I too grew up performing in church in Georgia,'" Alaina said of Crist's response.

"I didn't want to be like, 'Who are you?' so I went to her Wikipedia page," Crist explained. "Looking back, it was the wrong move."

Crist, 35, also addressed his age difference with Alaina. Crist is 11 years older than Alaina but only 10 years younger than Alaina's mom.

"I'm 35, her mom is 45, and she's 24, so I'm closer to her mom's age than her. When her and her mom are arguing about stuff I'm literally in the middle like, 'Actually, your mom makes some good points,'" he said.

Alaina and Crist sparked dating rumors in February after Alaina attended Crist's stand-up comedy show. She shared a photo on Instagram with the comedian at the time.

Alaina ended her engagement to Hopkins, her longtime boyfriend, in January.

"While we still have love for each other, we've grown into very different people over the last six years. We are now in a place where we are each looking forward to starting our own fresh, new chapters of our lives," she said at the time.

Alaina came to fame as the American Idol Season 10 runner-up. She is known for the singles "Like My Mother Does" and "Georgia Peaches," and last released the album Road Less Traveled in January 2017.
