Lamar Odom was reportedly airlifted to Los Angeles in a helicopter to progress his recovery to the next phase.

The estranged husband of Khloe Kardashian was transferred from Sunrise Hospital in Nevada hospital to an LA hospital on Monday, People reported.

Photos were captured of Odom being loaded onto a medical helicopter, and according to a source, Kardashian was still by his side. He'll reportedly be continuing treatment in the ICU at the famed Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

"Khloe and several nurses are with him. Lamar still can't walk but has left the hospital in a bed," the source said, adding that Odom's maternal aunt JaNean Mercer was also spotted leaving the hospital.

Odom's move is reportedly so Kardashian and her family can be close to him at all times.

After suffering a drug overdose while staying at a brothel in Nevada and partying for days, Odom, 35, was hospitalized and in a coma for four days last week. He woke up Friday morning and is now able to speak to Kardashian, 31, breathe on his own, and move his hands and legs.

However, Odom has a long way to go until he remotely feels like himself again, People reported.

"He's responsive, but there are so many things that could go wrong right now, and the doctors have still been guarded. Khloe has been praying a lot, both to herself and out loud to Lamar. She wants him to know that she's still on his side, and that everyone is praying for him," the source explained.

Odom's kidneys have been "very damaged and there is talk about him needing a transplant down the road, but that's a long way off."

Kardashian has been making the medical decisions for Odom since she is still legally his wife. Although the couple signed divorce papers in July, the divorce is not official yet.
