Gary Busey is the ninth confirmed celebrity competing on "Dancing with the Stars" this fall.

Jimmy Kimmel announced Busey's participation on the competitive dance show Tuesday by inviting the actor on stage at "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" riding a caped horse.

When the host asked why Busey waited this long to join Dancing, he simply replied, "I didn't have anything else to do."

"Please pick up your telephones and vote for me," Busey concluded before being led off set.

Busey joins eight other confirmed celebrity competitors including Bindi Irwin, Andy Grammer, Nick Carter, Chaka Khan, Hayes Grier, Carlos PenaVega, Alexa PenaVega and Victor Espinoza.

It has been reported that Kim Zolciak and Paula Deen will also dance this season.

The full roster of celebrity dancers this season will be announced Wednesday, Sept. 2 on "Good Morning America."

The 21st season of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres Monday, Sept. 14 on ABC.
