Jennifer Hudson is apparently ready to hit the road for the long-haul following two high-profile performances in the span of a week.

The former American Idol third-season finalist and recent Grammy recipient will begin her first solo tour in Philadelphia, PA on April 2, People reported Monday.

"I am so grateful -- my first Grammy and my first tour," she told People.  "It doesn't get better than that."

Hudson will co-headline the five-week U.S. tour with R&B singer Robin Thicke, according to People, which added it will come to a close on May 8 in Houston, TX.

Last week, Hudson lip-synced to a pre-recorded rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl before performing at last night's 51st annual Grammy Awards -- where she took home Best R&B Album honors for her self-titled debut, which dropped last September.

Hudson's Super Bowl performance was her first public appearance since three members of her family were murdered last October.
