A Florida who man saw an iguana get itself stuck in a chain-link fence recorded his two-minute attempt to rescue the distressed lizard.

The man, named Tobias, dons a pair of gloves in the video before handling the iguana and working to free it from the fence in Miami-Dade County.

Tobias, whose rescue video was posted on YouTube, explains the iguana tried to run through the fence when he "spooked" the creature and it ended up stuck about halfway through one of the fence's holes.

The man's efforts to gently pull the iguana out of the fence prove fruitless, but another person soon arrives with a tool Tobias uses to cut through the metal.

Tobias is then able to free the iguana from the larger hole and the lizard scurries away.
