Jade Goody of the British TV series "Big Brother" is dying of cancer and has only months to live, her publicist says.

Publicist Max Clifford said Goody, 27, learned of her unfortunate prognosis from doctors at London's Royal Marsden Hospital and has begun organizing her life to protect the future of her two sons, the BBC reported Saturday.

Clifford said the doctors' news came Friday after Goody had a cancerous tumor removed from her bowel.

"She was aware that the cancer had spread but they said unfortunately it was a question now of when, rather than if, and when she pressed them as to how long she'd got, they said 'months,'" the publicist said.

Clifford told the BBC that Goody's boyfriend, Jack Tweed, proposed after hearing Friday's news and Goody is making plans to have her sons christened.

"She's being incredibly brave and positive about all of this," Clifford said.
