Drake's new song "God's Plan" has broken the record for most single-day streams on Spotify and Apple Music.

"We can confirm 'God's Plan' by Drake now holds the U.S. record as the most streamed track in a single day on Spotify," a representative for the streaming service said in a statement.

The record was previously held on Spotify by Taylor Swift's first Reputation single "Look What You Made Me Do."

Radio DJ Zane Lowe then confirmed on Twitter that Drake had broken Apple Music's first-day streaming record.

"Breaking Records again @Drake - God's Plan has streamed over 14M times, breaking the worldwide Apple Music first day streaming record," Lowe said.

"God's Plan" was released Friday alongside song "Diplomatic Immunity" as part of new project titled Scary Hours.

Drake celebrated the song's success on Instagram alongside a photo of himself and NBA star LeBron James who recently reached 30,000 career points. "Congrats King. Samesies," the rapper said.

Drake was previously the most steamed artist on Spotify for 2015 and 2016 before falling to second place in 2017 behind Ed Sheeran.
