Cyndi Lauper is back in business with Mark Burnett.

The former The Celebrity Apprentice third-season participant and producer of the NBC reality competition have teamed up for a new reality project that will follow the singer and her family life, Lauper told the New York Daily News.

Lauper added the new project will be about "the comedy of our lives" and document her life with husband of 19 years, actor David Thorton, and their 12-year-old son Declyn.

Lauper isn't the first The Celebrity Apprentice participant that Burnett has continued to work.

Last year, he teamed up with Joan Rivers for How'd You Get So Rich? -- a reality series in which the comedian profiles self-made millionaires -- after she won The Celebrity Apprentice's second season.

How'd You Get So Rich?'s second season currently airs Wednesdays at 10PM ET/PT on TV Land.
