Celebrity Big Brother is coming back to CBS with a third season next year!

CBS has announced Celebrity Big Brother, which has been renamed Big Brother: Celebrity Edition, will air Season 3 in Winter 2022.

An exact premiere date for the new season will be revealed at a later date.

Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves will reprise her role for the upcoming Celebrity Edition, as she tweeted on September 9, "All the Rumors are True."

In addition to her tweet, Julie also posted a Big Brother: Celebrity Edition promotional picture of herself.

The third season of Big Brother: Celebrity Edition will star an all-new group of celebrities living together in the Big Brother house outfitted with 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day.

The upcoming winter edition will also be available to stream live and on demand on the Paramount+ streaming service, where fans will also be able to watch the 24/7 live feeds and find exclusive content throughout the Big Brother season.

CBS will soon announce additional details about the celebrity season, including its list of houseguests and airdate schedule.

Big Brother: Celebrity Edition aired its first two seasons in Winter 2018 and Winter 2019.

Actress Marissa Jaret Winokur was crowned champion of the first season of Celebrity Big Brother in America, as she defeated entertainment reporter Ross Mathews for the $250,000 grand prize through a 6-3 vote during the February 2018 finale.

Ross received $50,000 for finishing in second place and was also named "America's Favorite Houseguest" over actress Shannon Elizabeth and Big Time Rush singer James Maslow.

And for Season 2, singer and Braxton Family Values star Tamar Braxton walked away with the $250,000 grand prize as a result of a shocking unanimous 9-0 in the February 2019 finale.

Tamar defeated the show's runner-up, former superstar NFL running back Ricky Williams, who received the 50,000 runner-up prize.

Comedian Tom Green was named "America's Favorite Houseguest" for the second season and so he earned a bonus prize of $25,000.

The houseguests on the current season of Big Brother, CBS' 23rd installment, have reached the Final 6, edging closer to the end of the show this summer.

Big Brother: Celebrity Edition is being produced by Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly On The Wall Entertainment in association with Endemol Shine North America.
