"It's 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side," her husband, Duane "Dog The Bounty Hunter" Chapman tweeted on Thursday.

Duane asked his Twitter followers to pray for Beth on Saturday, June 22 and then revealed the following day his wife had been placed in a medically-induced coma.

According to Us, Beth's coma was induced on June 22 and her husband "humbly" sought support from fans and loved ones.

"She was a fighter until the very end. We'll miss her terribly and send our deepest condolences to Duane and the Chapman and Smith families," the Chapmans' attorney Andrew R. Brettler said in a statement on Wednesday.

Beth had previously been hospitalized in April due to significant breathing problems.

The reality TV star had been diagnosed with stage II throat cancer in September 2017, Us reported, but she announced just two months later she was cancer-free.

However, the cancer reportedly returned in November 2018 and spread to her lungs, so Beth began chemotherapy.

In December of that year, Duane told the magazine he prayed and cried a lot for his wife during her cancer battle.

"I don't listen to the bad news. I don't want to hear it... I'm a sinner. I pray a lot. I have done double that," Duane said in December 2018.

"I constantly ask God to heal my honey and make sure He takes care of it. I've been telling Him that I'm going to try and quit smoking and cursing. I'm a dealmaker, and I'll do anything."

Beth and Duane starred on Dog the Bounty Hunter from 2004 to 2012 on A&E. The show chronicled the exploits of real-life bounty hunter "Dog" Chapman and his family as they chased down actual fugitives in the Hawaiian Islands.

Beth and Duane had more recently begun filming a new series called Dog's Most Wanted for WGN America while Beth was dealing with her health crisis. A trailer had shown Duane kissing his wife in the hospital.

When Dog's Most Wanted was first announced by WGN America in January 2019, production was supposed to commence in the first half of 2019.

"In this brand-new series, millions of Dog and Beth fans will join them on bigger hunts, pursuing more dangerous criminals, with a supporting cast of tough-as-nails crime fighters," WGN America president Gavin Harvey said in a statement earlier this year.
