"Erica" co-stars Michael Riley and Erin Karpluk said the series set in Toronto now airs in 30 other countries and has resulted in invitations to cast members to appear on popular U.S. talk shows, the Toronto Sun reported Saturday.

"You never know," Riley said. "You work on a show, and no matter where you shoot it or create it, and whatever culture you are steeped in ... you do what you do, and you hope for the best."

Karpluk, who plays the title role, says she loves the time-travel show and isn't nervous about it.

"A couple of years ago I wouldn't have been ready for this," she said. "But I feel very comfortable, and I'm just thankful for the support and the way it's been received."

The Sun said "Erica," which is in its second season, airs on CBC Television in Canada and on the cable channel SoapNet in the United States.
