The star of "Being Bobby Brown," who lives in suburban Atlanta with his wife, Whitney Houston, was in Webster during the weekend to watch his daughter in a cheerleading competition, E! Online reported Wednesday.

Police Chief Timothy Bent said Brown was probably unaware of the warrant and "very forthright in wanting to clear this up."

The singer went to the police station with his bodyguard and posted $40 bail.
