Bachelor in Paradise couple Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes will probably never hear wedding bells, at least according to Dean.

On marrying his girlfriend, Dean admitted on Friday, "That's never going to happen," Us Weekly reported.

Dean, 28, explained of Caelynn, "She does joke around about us getting married all the time, and I always say, 'Sorry, it's not going to happen.' I don't know, I'm super unconventional and she obviously is a little more conventional."

"We joke around about it," he added. "Just try to keep expectations to a minimum, you know? Like I said on the show, underpromise, overdeliver."

Fans, friends and Bachelor Nation questioned whether Dean would ever be ready for a serious relationship and settling down considering his string of failed relationships before meeting Caelynn, whom he had fallen hard and fast for on Bachelor in Paradise's sixth season this past summer.

However, Dean insisted to the magazine Caelynn, 24, didn't change him into the man he is today.

"I think that I've just sort of gotten to a point where I'm willing to change and ready to change myself," Dean explained, giving himself the credit for being a good boyfriend.

"Obviously, it's just nice to have someone that kind of come along and complement everything in each other's lives that's going on."

Dean, who found fame on Rachel Lindsay's season of The Bachelorette before participating in several Bachelor spinoffs, also apparently isn't sure whether he'd like to become a father one day.

"The older I get, I feel like the less and less I want kids. I remember when I was a teenager, I was always so dead-set on having kids, but the world's in flux. I don't know if it's necessarily the most responsible thing to do to bring a child into this world," Dean shared with Us.

"That being said, [Caelynn] wants kids, so I don't know. I don't know if I don't want kids just because she wants kids, and I don't want to get married just because she wants to get married."

Last month, Caelynn admitted to the magazine she always jokes with Dean about getting married.

"Maybe that's in our future, but it would be way down our future," Caelynn noted.

Caelynn, who competed for Colton Underwood's heart on The Bachelor's 23rd season before meeting Dean on Paradise; however, called Dean "supportive," influential and "very romantic."

Earlier this year, Dean gushed to Us about how his relationship with Caelynn is "monumentally different" from other women he's dated in the past. Dean was previously linked to Kristina Schulman, Danielle Lombard and Lesley Murphy from The Bachelor world alone.

"She's very intelligent and compassionate. I am able to be myself around her and she's able to be herself and that's how we create synergy and build around each other," Dean explained at the time.

"For the first time in my Bachelor franchise relationship history, I feel like I'm able to say what I want, do what I want and allow my partner to build with me while I'm doing that."

Dean said he had "a better understanding" of himself thanks to his romance with Caelynn and so their relationship flourished.

Dean and Caelynn's road to finding love with each other was certainly a bumpy one.

As the pair dated on the show, Caelynn felt the need to guard her heart and proceed with caution given Dean's reputation of being a bit of a player, but she really liked him and Dean claimed he had no intention of ever acting like a self-declared idiot again.

Dean admitted he lived in a van and had no job or real ambition, but Caelynn found him funny and exciting. The pair quickly became inseparable, and Dean continued to win Caelynn's trust by turning down dates with other bachelorettes in Mexico.

However, Caelynn was warned by fellow cast members Dean was "a heartbreaker" and it was only a matter of time before he'd crush her.

Caelynn therefore decided to confront and challenge Dean about his motives. She wanted to hear him say, "Yes, I want a future with you," as well as receive reassurance that her heart was safe with him.

But Dean couldn't give her that. While Dean said Caelynn was the only woman whom he wanted to spend time with in Paradise, he admitted he sucked at dating and couldn't see himself settling down any time soon.

"I'm going to take off in my van for nine months and be as free as possible," Dean explained to Caelynn.

"I know that kind of sucks to hear. It only makes sense for you to protect your heart only because I don't want a normal life and to go to dinner parties on Saturday nights where we talk about our feelings and emotions."

Despite the fact Dean seemed noncommittal, Caelynn continued to date Dean in Paradise -- only to eventually be dumped on her birthday.

"I know I won't be able to get where you would need me to be by the end of this. Wholeheartedly, I know I won't be able to get there," Dean told her.

"I think you deserve a guy who is 100 percent gung-ho jumping into a relationship with you... I just think you deserve someone better than me, to be completely honest."

Dean therefore left Mexico alone and devastated Caelynn, who cried her eyes out for days. It wasn't until Caelynn met Connor Saeli that she thought she could enjoy the rest of her Paradise experience.

Caelynn and Connor really hit it off, but Caelynn apparently never moved on from Dean.

And much to her surprise, Dean later returned to Paradise to win Caelynn back.

"The entire flight back, I literally could not stop thinking about you," Dean told her. "I rented a car and drove to the Grand Canyon, and when I was there, I thought about how badly I wished you were there with me."

Dean decided to come back to Mexico to prevent Caelynn from falling for another guy after he apparently realized she's special and he wanted to be with only her.

"I knew that I needed to come here and tell you that I wanted us to try and be in a relationship," Dean shared.

"If I continue to wait until I'm perfect to be in a relationship with someone, I'll probably be alone forever."

Dean delivered a beautiful speech that appeared to make Caelynn go weak at the knees, so she decided to dump Connor and leave Mexico as Dean's girlfriend.

After Dean and Caelynn left Paradise together, they continued their relationship in the real world and traveled to places such as Venice and Spain.

On September 10, Caelynn posted several photos with Dean in his van.

The pair were snuggled into bed with each other, watching a sunset on a beach somewhere.

"Lots of ramen, very few showers, and a whole lot of happiness," Caelynn captioned the photo.

When asked about their relationship on Bachelor in Paradise's reunion special, Caelynn responded, "I've slept in his van a couple nights! It's going great... I love [van life]. I'm surprised but I actually love it!"
