Anne Hathaway spent her Oscar Sunday defending her previously criticized dress from the 2013 Academy Awards on Instagram.

"I had to change my dress last minute and so it looked like my nipples were hard, I had full blown laryngitis and had to sing, and a bunch of corny haters were getting lots of attention from the media for being haters but you know what? It was still the best," Hathaway said alongside an image of herself accepting the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2013 for her role as Fantine in Les Miserables.

"To all the nominees, I hope you have a BLAST tonight doing all that #bestlife #oscars stuff," she continued as she addressed the 2018 nominees.

Hathaway had faced backlash for the dress -- a pastel pink gown -- and for her acceptance speech following the 2013 ceremony.

"It's an obvious thing, you win an Oscar and you're supposed to be happy," Hathaway previously said to Variety about winning. "I didn't feel that way."
