ABC has finally officially confirmed what we've been reporting for a couple of weeks now -- that Meredith Phillips, the third runner-up from Bob Guiney's edition of The Bachelor, will be the woman at the center of ABC's second The Bachelorette series which premieres in January.

Phillips, a 29-year-old model/ makeup artist currently residing in West Hollywood, CA, is a native of Beaverton, Oregon and graduate of Oregon State University. An aspiring chef hoping to attend culinary school, Meredith is likely best remembered for the scene in the third episode of Guiney's The Bachelor series in which she learned of her grandmother's passing only moments before her big solo date with Guiney.

The second edition of The Bachelorette will premiere on Wednesday, January 14 at 9PM ET. As it did with last year's first edition of The Bachelorette, ABC will once again pair the program with the next edition of its Celebrity Mole franchise which will premiere January 7 in the 10 PM ET timeslot.
