"Brooke Burke is my new co-host as Samantha Harris has gone on to more of her responsibilities at The Insider and [Entertainment Tonight]," Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron announced during Good Morning America's Monday morning broadcast.

Harris -- who began co-hosting Dancing with the Stars with Bergeron prior to its Spring 2006 second season -- had announced she wouldn't be returning for the show's tenth season in January.

Burke won Dancing with the Stars' seventh season in November 2008 and has previously hosted CBS' Rock Star reality competition as well as several E! shows.

"She'll be able to talk to the couples backstage with the perspective of having been through it herself," Bergeron noted.

In addition to Burke, ABC also reportedly screen-tested True Beauty and former TRL host Vanessa Minnillo and former Dancing with the Stars participants Melanie Brown and Melissa Rycroft for the co-host role.

Dancing with the Stars' tenth season will premiere Monday, March 22 at 8PM ET/PT.

The celebrity cast features former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, NFL star Chad Ochocinco, All My Children actor Aiden Turner, ESPN reporter Erin Andrews, former Beverly Hills 90210 star Shannen Doherty, former astronaut and moon walker Buzz Aldrin, comedian and The Insider panelist Niecy Nash, Pussycat Dolls member Nicole Scherzinger, Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek, former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Kate Gosselin, and The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love star Jake Pavelka.
