Like 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' first three seasons, the fourth season follows Americans who started online romantic relationships with overseas partners as they travel overseas hoping to get engaged to someone they've never met in person and then begin the K-1 Visa immigration process.

Along the way, they'll encounter challenges that include large age gaps, language barriers, cultural issues, and questionable pasts.

GEOFFREY AND VARYA

Geoffrey said, "I'm done," and couldn't believe he was going through such heartbreak with the woman he previously believed was the love of his life.

"I'm failing myself. I should've been smarter than this. I feel like I'm wasting time -- time I could have given my family," Geoffrey cried to the cameras.

Geoffrey asked Varya if she was talking to another American man, and she said yes but that he wasn't the man she wanted and they were just friends. Varya said the mystery man still contacted her because he knew her Instagram but that's the only way they've talked.

"Is she playing this guy? Is she playing me? That fact that she's avoiding this truth makes me think that this relationship is a lie," Geoffrey said.

Varya promised she didn't like the other man, but then Geoffrey shouted about how he seemed to be her "free ride to America." Geoffrey asked in tears for some time to think and cool off because he felt stupid.

Varya told the camera she wasn't looking for an American man so she could move to America -- she was looking for a soul mate and Geoffrey needed to trust her.

"I never thought I was going to be alone in Russia tonight. I feel like a fool right now. I feel stupid. I put so much into this relationship. At what point does my heart just say, 'I give up?'... I really don't know if we can move past this," Geoffrey said in a confessional.

Geoffrey was prepared to pack up his belongings and head back to the United States, but before making any rash decisions, he decided to FaceTime with his friend Mary in search of some advice.

Geoffrey said he and Mary had dated in the past but it was just never the right timing and they didn't mesh well in a relationship. However, he noted they had grown close and became best friends.

Mary was shocked to hear Varya was talking to other American men, and Geoffrey said Varya's actions proved she was just looking for a move to the United States and a Green Card.

Varya insisted Geoffrey had overreacted, and then Mary suggested she still had feelings for Geoffrey.

"I wish you didn't go. You know, for personal reasons, I didn't want you to go. You didn't see what was right in front of your face," Mary said.

Geoffrey was really surprised to hear he had missed out on a shot at love with Mary, and he was starting to wonder if she was right and he was a fool for not pursuing a relationship with her. After all, Mary apparently knew everything about him and his past.

Mary told Geoffrey that every couple has struggles and he should have a conversation with Varya to see how she reacts in the face of adversity. Geoffrey was still hurt about being lied to but decided to give Varya a call and talk.

Mary, in the meantime, hoped Geoffrey and Varya's relationship was going to fail.

Once Varya and Geoffrey reunited, Varya said Geoffrey had made a bad first impression by shouting at her friends. She called Geoffrey's behavior "unacceptable," but he was not willing to accept the fact she was talking to another American man.

Varya attempted to claim this American man was in her past, but Geoffrey argued that she was still talking to him -- and she didn't deny that.

"If I just wanted to go to America, I could have done that with that guy, but I am searching for real love, not just an American. And that guy, we are 100 percent not boyfriend and girlfriend," Varya explained.

But Geoffrey was upset because Varya had been hiding that situation from him.

Varya therefore told Geoffrey she regretted being dishonest and had made a mistake. She said she just wanted him to feel special.

"I just want you to tell me the truth. That's all I care about," Geoffrey urged.

Varya assured Geoffrey that there was no one else in her life in a romantic sense, and so Geoffrey asked if they could move forward and not look back. He also apologized for how he had acted at the dinner with her friends.

Varya decided not to hold a grudge because she said it would poison her mind and heart. She told the cameras that she really liked Geoffrey and wanted him near her.

Geoffrey determined he could trust Varya, especially because he hadn't been honest with her either. Varya had yet to learn that Geoffrey had spent some time in prison, and he was scared to have that conversation.

LISA AND USMAN

Lisa had been in Nigeria for a few days and she and Usman had engaged in some arguments, including one in which she had felt disrespected by Usman's music director Abba. Lisa was also angry at Usman for laughing off Abba's disrespect.

Usman agreed Lisa's behavior could have a negative impact on his career, but he was serious about their relationship and being together. Usman regretted pissing Lisa off and apologized for his actions, saying he would never let it happen again.

Lisa said she defended Usman at all times and she deserved that same treatment in return.

Lisa told Usman that she didn't want Abba to attend his video premiere party, and Usman or "Sojaboy" said ideally, he would marry Lisa, have children with her and "maintain that status [of] superstar" in the United States.

Usman said he had to do whatever it takes to keep Lisa happy.

Later on, Usman and Lisa headed to the world-premiere party for the song Usman had written for her. Usman was very worried how Lisa was going to act around his female friends, and he was nervous how people would respond to his music video given the model had been edited out.

Once at the club, Lisa noticed Usman's fans were following him around and taking photos of him "like love-sick puppies." Lisa said if anyone stepped over the line, there would be an issue in the club that night.

Lisa seemed to really enjoy watching Usman perform, and Usman said his music was for her. Usman then released his music video, and it said on the big screen at the end it was dedicated to Lisa, his fiancee.

Usman's fans didn't react well to the music video, and one girl gave it a thumbs-down. After the video played, there was no cheering or applause. The crowd also didn't seem to respect or appreciate the fact Usman was engaged to an older white woman from the United States.

Usman was very impressed with how Lisa behaved that night around his fans, but he could tell the music video wasn't well-received. Usman was afraid his music career was slipping through his fingers.

The next day, Lisa and Usman flew to Sokoto to visit with his mother. Lisa set out to receive a blessing from Usman's mother for them to have a wedding and get married.

Usman acknowledged his mother never would have chosen Lisa for him but he loved her.

Once Lisa and Usman settled into a hotel in Sokoto, Lisa was horrified about the conditions and complained. Usman was tired of Lisa complaining and worried she might talk like this in front of his mother.

Lisa met Usman's friend Omar, who told Usman that Lisa was beautiful but he didn't like how she talked to him. Usman said Lisa liked to be in control, but Omar said in the Islamic religion, the man is supposed to have control over his wife.

Usman started to question whether he was making the right decision by being with Lisa because they fought all the time and constantly had problems.

ED AND ROSEMARIE

Ed woke up in his hotel room alone after a fight with Rose, and he was admittedly feeling regretful and upset.

Ed wished he had never asked Rose to take an STD test, but he just wanted to know that he could trust her. Once Rose finally opened up about her past and ex-boyfriends -- including Prince's father -- Ed said he no longer cared about her taking a test.

Rose was very angry with Ed and had slept in a different hotel, and he worried he had blown it with his love. Ed just wanted a chance to apologize, but Rose apparently refused to answer her phone.

"I may have lost Rose and I feel sick to my stomach. I have to fix this. I put way too much into this relationship not to," Ed said in a confessional.

Since she wasn't picking up her phone, Ed texted Rose through a language translation app and asked her to meet him at a cafe so they could talk face-to-face and he could explain himself. Ed hoped this was going to work or else he'd be devastated.

Ed wasn't ready to give up, and he prayed to God that Rose was going to show up at the cafe. Ed loved her, missed her and wanted to say "sorry." Ed was going to share with Rose that he had learned enough about her past and was never going to ask about it again.

Ed waited in the cafe for 90 minutes and feared his trip to the Philippines might've been all for nothing, but then Rose decided to show up. Rose clearly wasn't happy, and after sitting down, she just said, "What?"

Ed immediately said, "I'm sorry and I trust you now with no questions... I need to learn how to communicate and understand what you're saying to me."

Rose said she was angry and still felt hurt, but Ed insisted in tears she didn't need to take the STD test and he would always love and trust her from that day forward.

Rose wanted a future with Ed and her son, so she decided to give him another chance. Rose still wanted to be Ed's wife, but she felt the need to protect her heart going forward.

Ed asked Rose if she wanted to spend one more night with him in Manila so they could relax and enjoy each other's company before traveling to her village and meeting her parents and Prince.

Rose was totally onboard with that, and Ed felt "so happy" they were able to work things out. Ed was relieved and thankful, but they had a lot to work on in order to move forward in their relationship.

Ed and Rose only had 19 days left together, and he worried whether that would be enough time for either of them to feel comfortable to get engaged.

STEPHANIE AND ERIKA

Stephanie said Erika was everything she had expected and more. Even though the girls hadn't kissed yet, Stephanie pointed out her love had very "kissable lips."

Stephanie had been celibate for a while, so she was nervous to take the next big step with Erika.

Erika had yet to come out to her parents and inform them of her relationship with a woman, so the pair decided to spend a few days in Avonlea together rather than staying in Erika's small hometown.

Stephanie didn't want to rush intimacy but noted she was definitely attracted to Erika and wanted her to know that she was so into her. Stephanie therefore gave Erika the gifts she had packed for her and ordered room-service champagne.

Erika was waiting for Stephanie to make the first move, calling herself "a chicken."

Stephanie told Erika that she wanted to take a bath and freshen up, and she asked Erika to meet her in the bathroom. Erika joked about how Stephanie was teasing her and needed to kiss her already.

Stephanie put on some black lingerie and then gave Erika a sweet first kiss. Stephanie could picture spending the rest of her life with Erika but said they needed to get to know each other better in order for that to happen.

Stephanie loved waking up next to Erika the next day and said Erika was a really good kisser.

They apparently didn't sleep together, but Stephanie was open with Erika about how she wasn't ready to have sex yet. Erika said she understood why Stephanie wanted to wait and really make a connection first, although they already had a soulful connection.

Stephanie said she felt so close to Erika, and then Erika surprised her love with a safari tour of Australian wildlife.

"She's only here for three weeks so I hope it happens sooner rather than later," Erika said of sleeping with Stephanie.

After seeing kangaroos, Stephanie whipped out all of her medication on a picnic table, and Stephanie's rare disease definitely concerned Erika. Stephanie explained a common cold could land her in the hospital and so she doesn't even go out much.

Stephanie feared her lifestyle would be too much for Erika and an overwhelming burden, but Erika was compassionate and promised to always be there for Stephanie. Erika admitted, however, Stephanie had downplayed her illness prior to traveling to Australia.

DAVID AND LANA

David had traveled to Ukraine to meet his 27-year-old girlfriend, and he was about to finally meet her face-to-face after seven years of talking online and dating.

However, David didn't have Lana's phone number, and he hadn't spoken to her in 48 hours when she was supposed to be traveling on a train to meet him.

David's plan was to go to the train station and wait for her to arrive, and he couldn't wait to finally see his love. He was feeling anxious and intended to take Lana horseback riding.

David anticipated Lana's arrival at 8AM, but he couldn't read the signs or cities on the schedule. David was confused and only saw a 7:50AM arrival, so he worried Lana had already made it.

But suddenly, another train arrived and he hoped Lana was on it -- but there was no sight of her anywhere. David searched for Lana in the train station and outside of it, wondering if she was looking for him.

"I'm not seeing her. She's not here," David told the cameras.

David woke up feeling optimistic, but he didn't know what was going on. He said they had specifically talked about meeting on Saturday and she was nowhere to be found.

David had to find a quiet cafe so he could get on the Internet and touch base with Lana.

"I can't believe this is happening again. This is the fourth time that I've come to Ukraine to meet Lana, and this is the fourth time it hasn't happened," David said in a confessional.

"This one is different. There is no excuse for this one. The others had excuses, and logical excuses -- she had a medical operation and one time her brother died."

Lana wasn't online when David signed on, which gave him hope Lana was actually still in transit to him. David recalled Lana saying that she would never let him leave her.

Lana wouldn't respond to David online, and he wanted to get to the bottom of things. David demanded the truth and insisted he wasn't leaking Ukraine this time without seeing her.

Lana had gone "completely silent" on David, so he was growing more and more frustrated. David asked Lana online whether she still wanted to marry him, but he received no response.

Later that day, David met up with his friend Anya so they could discuss his predicament.

Anya assumed Lana was "fake, not real" and lying about her feelings for David. She said Lana wasn't serious about being in a relationship with David and was just using him for money.

Lana had previously given David her address in Pavlohrad when they signed up for a cruise the previous year, so he intended to chase her down. However, Anya warned him the trip to Pavlohrad was "dangerous" and he simply shouldn't bother.

Anya said the roads were "terrible" and David could lose his car because Pavlohrad was near where a war was happening. But David had his mind set on meeting Lana, and he said he wasn't ready to walk away from their romance.

DARCEY AND TOM

Darcey was getting ready for her meeting with Tom in New York, but he apparently didn't know she had seen photos of him with another woman.

"I thought we were still together, so I feel betrayed and used, and I'm going to let him know it," Darcey told the cameras.

Darcey wondered if Tom was "playing games" and manipulating her because he was already talking about introducing her to some of his friends in Argentina when she predicted a breakup might happen in New York.

"I think he's stringing me along to act committed," Darcey said, adding, "He wants to feel peaceful for himself because he knows that he did me dirty."

Darcey planned to tell Tom he couldn't treat her poorly anymore, and she was willing to say "goodbye."

Tom said he and Darcey had a lot to talk about and he wanted to make their romance work.

"I love Darcey more than I think she'll ever realize. I did think maybe we could have a future together, but then things change. I think the distance is a nightmare... and when she got home, Darcey was still upset and talking about her ex [Jesse Meester], which was too much for me," Tom told the cameras.

Tom also said he and Darcey hit a bump in the road when Darcey appeared to seek comfort in another man during the Tell-All taping for 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' third season. Tom wanted to know once and for all whether he and Darcey were in a relationship and could stay in one.

Tom wasn't sure what mindset Darcey was going to have during their meeting. He wasn't sure whether they'd still have something there or at least receive closure.

Later on, Darcey arrived in New York City, and she was nervous about seeing Tom again. Tom had texted her that he "wanted to fix this" instead of having "a war," which really threw Darcey off.

Darcey was aggravated with Tom's vague and confusing text messages, so she didn't know what was going to happen between them.

Darcey broke down into tears because she had loved Tom and felt safe with him. She didn't want to feel any additional pain. Tom worried Darcey was going to get emotional, upset and angry, and he didn't like that side of her.

Tom didn't want to get into an argument with Darcey and said he was trying to reach "the best solution possible."

"I'm nervous as hell. She'll be here soon and I don't know what's going to happen," Tom told the cameras.

Darcey packed a suitcase and planned to stay at a hotel in New York in case her meeting with Tom ended badly. She said she didn't want to bring that bad energy home to her family.

The episode ended on a cliffhanger, with Darcey and Tom meeting at a restaurant in New York. Tom leaned in for a kiss, but Darcey rejected him saying, "It's okay, I don't feel comfortable."
