According to TLC, Season 6 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days will follow long-distance relationships and document how each couple found each other as well as their first in-person meeting in a foreign country "and the unexpected surprises, cultural clashes and dramatic twists" along the way.

"This season serves up an explosion of emotion with all the highs and lows of dating across the globe, as marriage proposals dangle in the distance," the network teased.

In most 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days cases, a pair of lovebirds are hoping to get engaged and begin the K-1 Visa process.

After traveling across the world, the couples will determine if love can conquer all as they experience challenges such as language barriers, interfering families, cultural differences, age gaps, ex partners, and baggage from the past.

Below is what happened on Episode 1 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' sixth season.

AMANDA and RAZVAN

Amanda is a 31-year-old from Eunice, LA, and she was visiting her sister in Ohio.

Amanda had lost her husband Jason -- who was also her two kids' father -- to cancer earlier in the year. She said he was her best friend and a wonderful man with a big heart who was diagnosed with Stage IV pulmonary cancer after receiving many tests and scans and being told nothing was wrong.

The cancer had already spread and he was given three months left to live with chemotherapy.

Jason died in the hospital only 10 days after his diagnosis. Amanda told her children, Aleena and Jr., three days later that their father had gone to heaven. Amanda said it was so hard without Jason but she needed to take care of her kids and be there for him.

When Jason was sick, he apparently told Amanda that he wanted her to find love again and move on, especially so their kids could have a father figure in their lives.

Amanda therefore used social media as an escape and met a man through a challenge on TikTok named Razvan. She sent him a rose, which turned into a private message, and then their messages ultimately turned into talking on the phone every day and night.

Razvan, a 26-year-old model and singer from Romania, asked Amanda to be only his, and so she agreed and their relationship quickly became serious. Amanda said Razvan was someone she could lean on and he made her laugh all the time.

"We've been together for four months. Every morning I wake up, he'll have messages waiting for me," Amanda revealed. "I do feel some guilt being with Razvan so soon after Jason's death... but we started to form this really deep connection," Amanda shared.

Amanda was therefore prepared to travel to Romania in a few days to meet Razvan for the first time.

Amanda said she still loved Jason and missed him, but she and Razvan got "caught up in a whirlwind of emotions." They were even saying, "I love you," already, which Amanda recognized was "crazy."

"But I feel in my heart we are meant to be and it will work itself out," Amanda noted.

Amanda wanted her man to think she looked tanned, toned and sexy, so she was shown getting a spray tan. Amanda's friend Amber worried Amanda was rushing things and trying to cover up her grief and not deal with it head-on.

Amanda and Razvan had also broken up a couple of times already due to Razvan's flirtatious behavior on social media. At one point, Amanda caught Razvan suggested to a woman on his late-night live stream that she should shower with her clothes.

But Amanda was optimistic Razvan may propose to her during her trip, which Amber thought was crazy and fast after the death of Jason. Amber thought Amanda and Razvan fought too much, and she wanted Amanda to find herself again and be alone for a while -- rather than trying to fill a void that Jason's passing had left in her heart.

Amanda broke down into tears, saying her children needed a man in their lives as well.

Later on, Amanda was shown FaceTiming with Razvan. His work as an actor tended to make her jealous, especially when he filmed love and sex scenes.

Razvan wasn't going to allow Amanda to control him or his career, but she didn't like how only women followed him.

Razvan, however, claimed he wanted to be a part of Amanda's life and couldn't wait to meet her children. He said he wanted to be a friend to her children but could never replace Jason.

"There is still a lot I don't know about Razvan, and I just really hope he can be the partner I need -- for me and the kids," Amanda told the cameras.

It then became time for Amanda to fly to Romania to meet Razvan. It was going to be the first time Amanda traveled away from her kids following their father's death.

The stakes were high, and Amanda hoped that Razvan was going to be the right man for her and that he wouldn't leave. She thought Razvan was a special guy whom God had put into her life, but she was scared Razvan was going to be totally different in-person.

"I don't know if I could mentally and emotionally recover from that," Amanda confessed.

GINO and JASMINE

Gino was shown picking up hair extensions for his fiancee, and they cost him $320.

Gino thought all that hair was very expensive. He didn't like excessive spending, but Jasmine demanded the extensions and pushed Gino to his limit.

"She's a feisty, passionate Latina, and she's the love of my life," Gino said.

Gino and Jasmine had met over two years earlier on a dating website. Gino said Jasmine's sexiness drew him in but her dynamic personality did it for him.

The pair fell in love in Panama and had amazing moments together, but they also had some explosive and volatile fights. For example, Gino had broken Jasmine's trust by sending his ex nude photos of her. However, Gino and Jasmine had a strong bond, and so Jasmine didn't give up on him.

Gino proposed marriage to Jasmine, returned to the United States, and then filed for the K-1 visa.

They had been waiting for 12 months by the time this spin off filmed, which caused a lot of friction between the couple since Jasmine was a bit jealous and protective and wanted to be with him all the time. In order to smooth things over, Gino planned a trip back to Panama with new clothes.

Gino and Jasmine, however, had some sexual issues to work out, and he hoped they could get on the same page during this trip.

Meanwhile, Jasmine, a 35-year-old from Panama City, was shown having an exam at the doctor's office.

Jasmine told the doctor that she wanted to be a virgin again, physically, after having kids. The doctor told her that it could be done. Jasmine shared how Gino never ejaculated during sex with her and had to masturbate in the bathroom afterwards.

"He simply has no desire for me. I have a super high sexual drive," Jasmine explained.

"He barely talks wants to have sex anymore... I'm like super horny -- waiting and naked -- and [he's flaccid] and can't even finish. So I'm hoping if my [vagina] gets tighter, he will be able to [ejaculate] inside of me."

Jasmine said her sex with Gino was great in the beginning and she danced and modeled for him in the bedroom.

Jasmine claimed she had done everything she could to turn Gino on, but it never worked. Jasmine thought she needed medical intervention as a result, and the male doctor was surprised Jasmine couldn't excite Gino.

Jasmine was afraid she and her fiance were growing apart.

"We really need to ignite the spark before I feel ready to take that huge step of moving to the United States," Jasmine shared in a confessional.

Gino was anticipating the approval of Jasmine's K-1 visa in 30 days, but Jasmine didn't believe him and said via Zoom they had been playing this waiting game for months. Jasmine had to move from one apartment to the next, and she feared Gino had made a mistake with the application.

In order to save money, Gino never hired a lawyer. Jasmine was therefore frustrated and upset with Gino, and she asked him to pay for a new apartment that would cost her $3,000 per month. Jasmine said she wanted to "live like a queen" during her last days in Panama.

Gino claimed they had sexual problems because they argued too much, but Jasmine wasn't buying that either. Gino said Jasmine didn't put any of the blame on herself and she needed to take her share in the problem more seriously.

Jasmine was then shown meeting up with a handsome guy friend, Dane, whom she had dated before Gino. They were together for a short period of time, but Jasmine said she needed chaos, passion and fire in a relationship.

Jasmine said Dane was "too delicate, like a prince" -- and that he wasn't her style. Jasmine said Gino had no idea about her friendship with Dane, including the fact they were about to be neighbors.

Jasmine told Dane that she was devoted to Gino but still had some trust issues with him.

Dane advised Jasmine not to "force" anything, especially since a marriage is supposed to be forever. He asked her not to settle for a man.

RILEY and VIOLET

Riley, a 48-year-old musician from Stroudsburg, PA, showed off his extensive jazz collection and gushed about his love for music and his dog Mila. The former military man worked in public safety for the government, and he admitted he struggled to let his guard down and be trusting in his personal life.

Riley had been in a serious relationship with a woman and got hurt. Riley went to her apartment one day and discovered another man in her closet, someone she had met through him.

Riley said the "betrayal" was on "another level of hurt" but then he met someone new. He thought he was going to spend forever with this new woman, so he bought her an engagement ring.

But then one day, the woman visited Philadelphia and never came back. Riley said her reasons for leaving didn't make sense and she was just "gone," which was "too much" for Riley and left him in a dark and lonely place.

A few days later, Riley downloaded a Vietnamese dating app, and he met Violet, a 43-year-old beauty who looks younger than her age. They sparked a connection and began calling each other.

After two years of contact, Riley called Violet beautiful, hilarious and clever. They had never met in-person, but Riley was planning to travel to Vietnam to meet the love of his life in just a few days. He was optimistic this could be a new beginning for him.

Riley said he was so excited to meet his girlfriend, but they had yet to say, "I love you." Every time Riley had expressed his love to a woman before, she apparently left him.

Riley admitted he tended to be overly cautious, but he needed to see more vulnerability from Violet before completely giving his heart to her. Riley believed Violet understood him, and so he pointed out how she was "truly worth the risk."

Violet has two daughters, and she and Riley apparently spoke about bringing her whole entire family over to the U.S.

Riley wasn't certain if Violet was divorced, however, because she had lied about her relationship status when they started talking. The divorce was one of Riley's concerns, and he also saw Violet on the dating app after she promised she was going to get off it and delete it.

"That is the game, man," Riley admitted. "We hit a really rough patch, arguing a lot. Even though we resolved those things, there's a little bit in me that's not sure if I believe her... But I stock it up to communication or cultural misunderstandings."

Riley's adult children were worried about their dad getting hurt, but Riley said Violet represented the ability of building something great. He said if this relationship didn't work out, he'd be broken.

TYRAY and CARMELLA

Tyray, a 33-year-old from Modesto, CA, was shown playing his ukulele in the woods.

Tyray shared how food provides comfort for him and he's been overweight since the age of nine or 10. Tyray said he was afraid to put himself out there due to rejection and so he was still a virgin, which he found a little embarrassing.

Tyray was taking care of his mother, who has a tumor in her brain and suffered a stroke. She had moved into Tyray's one-bedroom apartment and called her son "a teddy bear."

Tyray actually quit his job to take care of his mother full-time. His father had been murdered when he was young, and Tyray recalled being homeless at times during his childhood.

"It's been really difficult. My social life is gone. But I don't really mind because I have Carmella," Tyray explained.

Tyray said Carmella -- whom he met on a dating website and lives in Barbados -- is "a goddess." They apparently messaged each other every day for almost four years, and Tyray thought Carmella was his soul mate, even though they had never met in-person before.

Carmella is a hairstylist who planned to go to school and start her own business, and Tyray said he supported Carmella from a distance and thought she was "the sweetest thing ever" as well as very emotionally supportive.

The pair only spoke on Snapchat, but Tyray said they sometimes sent sexy pictures and videos to each other. Carmella, however, had never videochatted with Tyray, who wondered if she was just uncomfortable with videochatting.

Tyray said he was waiting to book a flight to Barbados once prices became more affordable, and he already envisioned Carmella becoming his future fiancee and wife.

"After four years of dating, I feel like Carmella is The One for me... The emotion is there for us, and I'm not going to let something like that go," Tyray told the cameras. "I kept Carmella a secret because I don't want my family to judge me... All my sisters have kids and my brothers are in relationships."

Tyray said he wanted the white-picket fence and a happy family, and he looked forward to sharing his love with his family. Tyray felt confident that this was finally his time for love.

An onscreen graphic then revealed that production had discovered some information about Carmella that Tyray was unaware of.

A producer named David shared with Tyray that they didn't have to use any of the information they had already filmed.

"We've learned Carmella has not been honest with you about who she is... The person you've been messaging with for the last several years is not the same woman in the pictures and videos," David warned Tyray. "There's a lot we don't know... but we eventually made contact."

The person apparently admitted to production that he's actually a man, and David apologized to Tyray for having to deliver such bad news.

DAVID and SHEILA

David is a 42-year-old fully-deaf man who loves playing pinball games from Omaha, Nebraska.

David grew up in an all-hearing family and was sent to boarding school to learn how to sign. He stayed in school and graduated at age 20, when he entered the real world.

David called himself "a kid at heart" and worked at a grocery store stocking shelves as well as a casino cleaner. He said he got lonely sometimes because he struggled to communicate with other people.

David said he wanted to have a wife and children but often faced rejection, which hurt his feelings.

But six years prior, he had fallen in love with a deaf woman. David said it felt great to not be alone, but they broke up because she cheated on him. David said the split broke his heart -- but he never gave up on love.

David then met Sheila, his beautiful girlfriend, who is 31-years-old and lives in Cebu, Philippines. They met in a group for deaf singles on Facebook. Sheila began having hearing problems at age six, and she was learning American Sign Language.

David and Sheila, who has a 12-year-old son, mainly talked through texts. David looked forward to having a family, and he thought Sheila was the sweetest person and the best match for him romantically.

They had been dating on the Internet for two years but never met face to face.

"But in a few days, I'm going to be flying 8,000 miles to the Philippines to see Sheila. It's finally happening!" David gushed.

David said he couldn't wait to meet his girlfriend and if everything went according to plan, he'd propose marriage to her. David's friends and family didn't want him sending Sheila money, but he said he wanted to help his girlfriend out financially and take care of her.

Sheila apparently didn't ask David for money in the first year of their courtship, but then she said she lost her job amid COVID-19 and her house was destroyed by a fire. It was then hit again by a typhoon.

"I love Sheila, so I want to help her. I think, grand total, I've sent Sheila about $3,000 in the course of a year," David revealed.

David's friend Mark worried that David was being taken advantage of, but he also pointed out that fairy tales can come true sometimes. David thought Sheila was "the real deal," and he said if their romance didn't work out, he'd be absolutely devastated.
