Ryan Reeves (born November 10, 1981) is a professional wrestler and is better known as "Silverback" Ryan Reeves.

Career

Deep South Wrestling / Ohio Valley Wrestling

Ryan Reeves started his career in Pro Wrestling in the fall of 2004 when he competed in Tough Enough 4. Even though Reeves lost, he impressed WWE officials enough for them to sign him to a contract.

Reeves started training at Deep South Wrestling, a pro wrestling school located in McDonough, Georgia. He trained there for most of 2005 and early 2006. In March of 2006 the WWE transferred Reeves from Deep South Wrestling, to Ohio Valley Wrestling.

In July of 2006, Ryan Reeves was suspended for 30 days due to failing a drugs test but has since returned to the OVW roster. Reeves was tested again after the first 30 day suspension and despite Internet popular belief, Reeves was not suspended again, as he passed his most recent drug test. Reeves himself has said this on his MySpace account. However, it has been said that he's currently the most physically built up guy in the company, even surpassing Bobby Lashley in terms of muscularity.

After his previous 30 day suspension, Reeves got even bigger, as well as bleaching his hair blonde. After changing his look, Reeves returned to wrestling on a number of OVW shows. He teamed for a spell with Jon Bolen, who together were known as "High Dosage". They engaged in a brief feud with Bad Company, the collective unit of Eddie Craven, Mike Kruel, and "The Bad Seed" Shawn Osborne.

He was released from his WWE contract on January 19, 2007.
