In total, 14 HouseGuest appeared on the sixth edition of the CBS reality series Big Brother. Each HouseGuest entered the house with a secret partner, someone they had known prior to entering the house. The partners played individually, unlike in Big Brother 9. If one of the secret pairs made it to the final two together, the winner would receive $1,000,000 and the runner-up would receive $250,000. Ivette and Beau were the last remaining pair in the house, with Beau's eviction in Week 9 marking the end of the partner twist.

April

April Lewis (born July 29, 1974), is a pharmaceutical sales representative from Dallas, Texas, and married her husband shortly before entering the house. Her secret partner was Jennifer, who is a sorority sister. She was a member of the "Friendship" alliance, along with Jennifer. April became a target of Janelle and Howie's attacks after April's alliance backdoored Kaysar, with Howie calling her "busto", in reference to her breast augmentation, and Janelle calling her a "golddigger". April won the ninth Head of Household competition on Day 54, and won the Power of Veto on Day 56, using the Veto to backdoor James. She was later nominated as a replacement nominee for Janelle, going up against Howie. On Day 68, April survived the eviction after Ivette broke the tie in her favor. She was nominated the following week as a replacement nominee for Ivette, who had removed herself with the Power of Veto. On Day 73, Ivette cast the sole vote to evict April. She was the sixth member of the Jury, and voted for Maggie to win.

April returned the following year for Big Brother: All Stars to participate in a Power of Veto competition, in which she had to eat a plate of sushi. In 2012, April and her husband appeared on the Lifetime series "7 Days of Sex".

Beau engaged in numerous arguments with HouseGuest Janelle, culminating in the two drunkenly calling each other names and eventually having a physical confrontation including scratching and shoving. On Day 49, Beau became the eighth Head of Household, his first win of the season, and nominated Howie and Rachel for eviction. On Day 61, Howie won the Head of Household competition, and in turn, nominated Beau and Ivette for eviction. Beau was evicted on Day 63 in a unanimous three to zero vote. He was the fourth member of the Jury, and voted for Ivette to win.

He was often seen as the initial leader of the "Friendship" alliance, though his partner Maggie seemed to take the leadership role after his eviction. On Day 12, Eric became the second Head of Household of the season, and successfully evicted Michael from the house. The following week, Michael's partner, Kaysar, won the Head of Household competition. After James saved himself with the Power of Veto, Kaysar named Eric the replacement nominee, placing him up against his partner Maggie. On Day 26, Eric was evicted from the house in a five to four vote, receiving the votes of Ivette, April, Beau, and Jennifer.

Howie

Howie Gordon (born January 7, 1971), is a meteorology student from Chicago, Illinois. Howie's secret partner in the game was his friend Rachel. On Day 33, Howie became the fifth Head of Household of the season, and turned against James and Sarah, both of whom were a part of the "Sovereign" alliance. He was nominated for eviction by Beau, alongside Rachel. On Day 54, he unanimously survived the eviction, though his partner was evicted. April nominated him the following week against Janelle, though April later used the Veto on Janelle and nominated James in her place. Following James's unanimous eviction, Howie won the tenth Head of Household competition, making him the first person to hold the title of HoH twice that season. He nominated Beau and Ivette for eviction, with Beau being evicted. Ivette then won the next HoH, and nominated Howie and Janelle, and nominated April as a replacement nominee after Janelle used the Veto on herself. Howie was then evicted in a tie-breaker vote against April, leaving the house on Day 68. He was the fifth member of the jury, and voted for Maggie to win.

The following year, Howie returned to the house to compete in Big Brother: All Stars, being voted back in by the public. Howie was evicted from the house on Day 47, during a Double Eviction week.

Ivette and Beau were secret partners, being former co-workers. She was a member of the "Friendship" alliance, along with her partner Beau. Ivette came under fire for her remarks regarding Muslim HouseGuest Kaysar, reportedly calling him a "sand nigger" and a "fake Muslim." The comments were not broadcasted. Big Brother producer, Arnold Shapiro, said: "I wouldn't want my name on a show that was having those kinds of things spoken." Ivette was nominated for eviction as a replacement nominee for James, who had used the Veto on himself. Ivette survived the eviction, with Sarah being evicted in a six to one vote. On Day 48, Ivette was nominated as a replacement nominee against Jennifer, after Janelle used the Power of Veto to remove Maggie from the block. She survived the eviction in a five to one vote, only receiving April's vote for eviction. She was nominated for a third time on Day 61, this time next to her partner Beau. She unanimously survived the eviction on Day 63, though Beau was evicted. Following his eviction, Ivette won her first Head of Household competition, and nominated Howie and Janelle for eviction. After Janelle used the Power of Veto on herself, Ivette nominated April as her replacement nominee. Ivette later cast the tie-breaker vote to evict Howie. Janelle won the following HoH, and nominated Ivette and Maggie for eviction. Ivette then won the final Power of Veto, and removed herself from the block. She later cast the sole vote to evict April. After winning the first and third rounds, Ivette became the final Head of Household on Day 76, and cast the sole vote to evict Janelle. On Day 80, Ivette became the runner-up of Big Brother 6, in a four to three vote against Maggie.

Ivette was a potential candidate to return for Big Brother: All Stars, but ultimately was not picked to return.

James

James Rhine (born December 6, 1975) is a Loss Prevention Manager from Miami, Florida. James and Sarah were secret partners, as they were dating. His original partner, Mike, chose to drop out of the show without telling him, thus James picked Sarah to enter with him. Both James and Sarah were a part of the "Sovereign Six" alliance, though James began playing both sides after Sarah's eviction. Following the end of the season, James held the record for most Power of Veto wins in a single season, though this record was later broken by Janelle the following season and Daniele Donato in Big Brother 8, in which both women won five Power of Veto competitions. James won his first Power of Veto on Day 14, choosing to leave Eric's nominations intact. On Day 20, James was nominated for eviction alongside Maggie. The following day, however, he won his second Power of Veto competition and removed himself from the block. He was nominated for the second week in a row on Day 27, alongside Kaysar. When James's girlfriend Sarah won the Power of Veto, she removed him from the block, securing their safety for that week. On Day 34, James was nominated for a third consecutive time, this time with Sarah. The nomination shocked the house, as the members of the "Sovereign Six" alliance had turned against James and Sarah. On Day 35, James won his third Power of Veto, and saved himself from the block, resulting in Sarah's eviction. Though immediately seen as a target following his third PoV win, Jennifer's decision to backdoor Kaysar led to the members of the "Sovereign" alliance and the "Frienship" alliance targeting each other, and allowing James to play both sides. On Day 51, James won his fourth Power of Veto competition, and left Beau's nominations the same. The following week, Head of Household April won the Power of Veto, and used it to backdoor James. He was subsequently evicted on Day 61, in a unanimous vote. He was the third member of the jury, and voted for Ivette to win.

The following year, James was chosen by the viewers to compete on Big Brother 7, along with Janelle, Howie, and Kaysar. He ultimately came in seventh place, the same as in Big Brother 6, being evicted on Day 53. Shortly after Big Brother: All Stars, James ended his relationship with Sarah.

Following the evictions of both of their partners, Janelle and Kaysar later worked together and referred to themselves as partners in the game. Janelle was a member of the "Sovereign" alliance, along with Kaysar. She had various altercations with numerous people in the house, including April, Jennifer, and Beau, whom she had a physical altercation with after Kaysar was backdoored. Several of her quotes have become infamous with Big Brother fans, with the most infamous being her stating "bye bye, bitches" upon nominating Jennifer and Maggie for eviction. Janelle was the winner of numerous prizes in the house, including a PB&J Pass, a one year subscription to Netflix, and a trip outside of the house to the set on the sitcom Two and a Half Men. The viewers voted for Janelle to receive a phone call while in the house, in which Michael called her via a cell phone placed in the living room. Janelle was first nominated for eviction on Day 13, along with Michael. She survived the eviction on Day 19, in a nine to one vote. She was nominated for a second time on Day 30, this time alongside Kaysar, though she survived the eviction. Following Kaysar's return to the house, Janelle was nominated for a third time next to Rachel, who later won the Power of Veto. After Rachel saved herself from the block, Kaysar was named her replacement nominee, and he was ultimately evicted for a second time. After surviving the vote against Kaysar, Janelle won the seventh Head of Household competition, her first win of the season. As it was a Double Eviction week, she immediately had to make her nominations, and chose Jennifer and Maggie. Janelle later won the Power of Veto that week, and chose to take Maggie off the block, replacing her with Ivette. Janelle was nominated for a fourth time by Head of Household April, this time with Howie. After April won the Power of Veto, she used it on Janelle, and named James her replacement nominee, resulting in his eviction. Janelle was nominated for a fifth time by Ivette, yet again against Howie. Janelle won her second Power of Veto that week, and removed herself from the block, resulting in Howie's eviction. Following his eviction, Janelle won the Head of Household competition, ensuring her a spot in the final three. After winning the second part of the final HoH competition, Janelle competed against Ivette, but ultimately lost. Ivette then cast the sole vote to evict Janelle on Day 76.
Janelle was the seventh member of the Jury, and voted for Ivette to win.

The following year, the public voted for Janelle to enter the house to compete in Big Brother: All Stars, along with James, Howie, and Kaysar. She ultimately came in third place, the same as in Big Brother 6. While in the house, Janelle won a total of five Power of Veto competitions, and four Head of Household competitions. She currently holds the record for the most competitions won in a single season, which is nine. She also won six HoH competitions combined in both Big Brother 6 and Big Brother: All Stars, tying her with Rachel Reilly, who appeared in both the twelfth and thirteenth seasons of the show. Janelle is also tied with Big Brother 8 HouseGuest Daniele Donato for the most Power of Veto competitions won in a single season, with both women winning five. Janelle returned to the house for a third season in Big Brother 8, in which she hosted the "Janelle-O-Vision" Power of Veto competition, named after her. She also appeared for a food competition in Big Brother 10, in which a representative from the first nine seasons of the show returned to the house. In 2009, Janelle was seen in an episode of Big Brother 11, in which she talked with host Julie Chen about the events of the season, along with three other former HouseGuest. Despite this, Rachel chose not to use the Power of Veto, saving Jennifer that week. Despite having a flirtatious relationship with Michael early on in the game, both Jennifer and April later accused him of sexual harassment, and successfully convinced HoH Eric to evict him. Following previously evicted HouseGuest Kaysar's return to the house, Jennifer became the sixth Head of Household of the season, and nominated Janelle and Rachel for eviction. Despite promising Kaysar that she would backdoor James that week, she later nominated Kaysar as a replacement nominee for Rachel, leading to his second eviction. Following Kaysar's eviction, his ally Janelle won Head of Household and immediately nominated Jennifer and Maggie for eviction during the Double Eviction week.
