Rock Star was a television series in which aspiring singers from all around the world compete to become the lead singer of a featured group. It debuted on CBS on July 11, 2005, to mediocre ratings, during the summer lineup. The show is hosted by television personality and commercial spokeswoman, Brooke Burke and Jane's Addiction lead guitarist, Dave Navarro. It aired on CBS in the United States, Sky One in the UK, FOX8 in Australia,TV3 in New Zealand, Skjár einn in Iceland and Global Television in Canada.
