Big Brother: All-Stars | finish = 9th place (Season 2)
Winner (All Stars) }}

This article is about the Big Brother housemate. For the planetary geologist, see Michael C. Malin.
Michael Robert "Mike Boogie" Malin (born Michael Robert Carri on July 16, 1970), is best known for winning the American television series Big Brother: All-Stars in 2006. He also competed in Big Brother 2 in 2001. He is commonly known by friends and fans as "Boogie". Outside the Big Brother House, Mike co-owns The Dolce Group, which maintains many restaurants in the Los Angeles area. He was also in the Enrique Iglesias music video for Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song).

Background

Malin was born and raised in Concord, New Hampshire, and often wears t-shirts and hats with the state's area code, 603, printed on them.

Mike co-owns The Dolce Group which maintains many restaurants varying in style and cuisine in the Los Angeles area, including Dolce, Bella, Geisha House, Les Deux, and Ketchup, and is opening new locations in Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Dallas in 2007. Most recently he opened Ten Pin Alley, a bowling alley in Atlanta, and is working on other projects to be announced at a later date.

Big Brother 2

In season two Mike finished 8th out of 12 houseguests, and was part of the infamous Chilltown alliance with Will Kirby and Shannon Dragoo. Mike was evicted in week 4, but returned to vote for the winner, Will Kirby in the season finale.

Big Brother 7: All-Stars

In the summer of 2006 it was announced that Malin was one of the top 20 houseguests eligible to compete in Big Brother 7: All Stars. Malin was chosen to participate in Big Brother 7: All Stars by the producers after failing to be voted back into the house in the public vote. It has been rumored that Malin was able to secure a spot on the cast with the help of his good friend and alliance partner, Will Kirby.

Malin's fellow Chilltown alliance member, Will Kirby duped most of the house guests during the course of the season. Despite having the most brazen alliance in Big Brother history, Chilltown still worked "secret ninja style" and was able to lure the other house guests into a false sense of safety while simultaneously convincing them to evict their own close friends and alliance members. Malin and Kirby are also partners in The Dolce Group, and often wore custom made shirts featuring some of the company's establishments, including Dolce, Geisha House, and Les Deux.

Malin was nominated for eviction twice but survived both times. He was Head of Household in Weeks 7, 9, and 10. He won the Power of Veto in Week 4. Malin managed to make it to the final two with his "showmance", Erika Landin and went on to win the game after giving a convincing jury speech. He won by a margin of 6-1 and went home with $500,000 dollars.

Malin also took a verbal beating from Rosie O'Donnell on The View for his mistreatment of the women in the house, particularly for calling Erika a "ho". She jokingly expressed interest in inviting Mike and Erika's mothers (who both disliked Malin's gameplay) onto the show for a craft segment (co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck said that together they could "craft an 'I Hate Boogie' blanket"). Malin shot back at Rosie on the CBS Big Brother Internet talk show House Calls the next day, mainly pertaining to her weight and her homosexuality.
