Shanaelle Petty (born 28 February 1998) is a Croatian-American model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Croatia 2017 and now will represent Croatia at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant.

Early life

Petty was born to an American father and Croatian mother. Petty graduated from Terry Sanford High School, and loves cooking and playing piano, tennis and volleyball. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Croatian, and aspires to work for NASA someday as she is officially student of MIT at USA.

Pageantry

Miss Universe Croatia 2017

On 28 April 2017, Petty was crowned Miss Universe Croatia 2017. More than 300 girls applied to compete, and 18 finalists were chosen. Petty ended up being crowned the winner by outgoing titleholder Barbara Filipovi?.

Miss Universe 2017

Petty will represent Croatia at Miss Universe 2017 where Iris Mittenaere of France will crown her successor at the end of the event.
