Robin Sachs Biography

Robin David Sachs (5 February 1951 " 1 February 2013) was an English actor.

Personal life

Sachs was born in London to actors Leonard Sachs, who was born in South Africa, and Eleanor Summerfield. He was twice married: first to Welsh actress Siân Phillips (1979–1991) and, secondly, to Casey Defranco. Sachs was known for his role as sorcerer Ethan Rayne in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

He died from a heart attack on 1 February 2013.

Memorial

During the last weekend of February 2013, the month in which Robin Sachs died, a Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer challenge was enacted: "Operation Tribute". The challenge required players to earn points using weapons that had been favoured by Zaeed Massani, a character voice-acted by Robin Sachs in the video games Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. One of the rewards for completing the challenge was a banner for multiplayer use displaying Massani's face.
