Randa Williams (née Duncan), is a billionaire heir to the Duncan family fortune (through the Enterprise Products, which remains under family control).

Biography

Williams is the daughter of Lee Ellis and Dan Duncan who co-founded Enterprise Products Partners LP and then took it public in 1998. In 2010, Enterprise consisted of over 48,700 miles of onshore and offshore pipelines and nearly 220 million barrel equivalents of natural gas and natural gas liquids of storage capacity. He also headed mid-stream energy firms Duncan Energy Partners LP (NYSE: DEP) and Enterprise GP Holdings LP (NYSE: EPE). Her father died aged 77 of a cerebral hemorrhage at his River Oaks, Houston home on March 28, 2010. She inherited $3.1B upon the death of her father. Due to a temporary loophole in the estate tax law for the year 2010, Duncan became the first American billionaire to pay no estate tax since its enactment.

She holds a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and an undergraduate degree from Rice University. After school she practiced law with Butler & Binion and Brown, Sims, Wise & White. Williams served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Products Company and Group Executive Vice President at Enterprise Products Company from 1994 to February 2001. Williams is a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Houston Zoo, served as Member of the Board of Trustees for the Houston Museum of Natural Science since 1995 and also presently serves as its Chairman, served on the trustee boards for the Manned Space Flight Education Foundation, River Oaks Baptist School and the [[Houston A+ Challenge]]. Williams's net worth is $5.1 billion. She lives in Houston with her husband; they have one child.
