Peppo Biscarini (born in Milan November 4, 1960) is an Italian and American swimmer, freediver, actor and evangelist.

Early life

Italo-American born in Milan November 4, 1960, to Sergio Biscarini, opera singer, and Griffi Clotilde, obstetrician. He moved to the United States in 1979 to train for the 1984 Olympics in swimming and to study. He was married in Santa Barbara, California to Jane in 1987 and has two children: Marco (1992) and Isabella (1997).

Swimming and freediving

  • Starts his swimming career at the age of 6 and participates at his first age group Nationals at the age of 11.
  • In May 1976 at the age of 15 wins the World Championship in finswimming marathon (24 hours) setting a new World Record of KM 83,7 and shuttering the previous record of 70.3 KM
  • July 77 wins the Italian National title of Open water swimming (11,500 mt -Bacoli, NA) 2:14.10
  • May 78 wins again the World Championship in finswimming KM 77,8.
  • 1978 Italian National champion in Open water swimming and representative for Italy to the FINA World Open Water Swimming Championships Capri-Napoli (1979)
