Liz Mathis
Liz Mathis (born Elizabeth Ann Rumann, 1958) is an American state legislator and nonprofit executive from Iowa, as well as a former news anchor, television producer, and college professor. She won a November 2011 special election to the Iowa Senate representing the 18th district in suburban Linn County, and was re-elected to the redrawn 34th district the following year. A member of the Democratic Party, Mathis is a former anchor for Iowa stations KWWL and KCRG-TV, and is the chief information officer for a child welfare and juvenile justice agency, Four Oaks.
