Lena Dunham (  ; born May 13, 1986) is an American filmmaker and actress. She wrote and directed the independent film Tiny Furniture (2010), and is the creator and star of the HBO series Girls. As of 2013, she has received eight nominations for a Emmy Awards and won two Golden Globe Awards for Girls.
