Jessica Billings Biography

Jessica Billings (born 1987), is the current Miss Pennsylvania USA pageant title holder, and a contestant in the 2013 Miss USA pageant. She has previously served as a youth ambassador for the United States to the 2007 United Nations World Youth Assembly in Geneva. She has also previously served on the board of the National Organization for Youth Safety. Billings entered the pageant as Miss Berwyn USA.

Pageants

Billings is a veteran of the beauty pageant circuit, having started competing at 17 when she was a finalist in the Miss Minnesota Teen USA 2004. Billings went on to compete in the 2007 Miss Minnesota USA Pageant, placing in the top 15. In 2009 she was named first runner up in the Miss Indiana USA Pageant, first runner up in the 2010 Miss Wisconsin USA, and third runner up in 2011. In 2012 she finished top 15 in Miss Minnesota USA, before being crowned Miss Pennsylvania USA in 2013. Earning the right to represent the state at Miss USA where she will compete to represent the United States at the Miss Universe pageant. She made the semifinals at Miss USA on 16 June 2013 and won the OPTX Rhode Island fan vote.

As a pageant contestant Billings has chosen autism as the cause which she is a patron of. The choice of the cause was sparked by her own family's experience with autism.

Community involvement

Billings has been an advocate of youth safety. She has served on the board of the National Organization for Youth Safety (2007), the Youth for Road Safety, Youth Task Force, and the Students against Destructive Decisions National Student. She was honoured to address the UN General Assembly on the topic of road safety.
