Ironside is an upcoming American drama television series that is scheduled to premiere in the 2013-14 television season on NBC. It will air on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Eastern/9 p.m. Central, after Law & Order: SVU. It is a remake of the 1960s television series Ironside. The series is expected to premiere on October 2, 2013.

Production

The pilot was written by Michael Caleo, who also executive produces, while Universal TV, David Entertainment and Yellow Brick Road will produce the show.

According to various news outlets, the plot of the show will revolve around "A tough, sexy but acerbic police detective using a wheelchair after a shooting is hardly limited by his disability as he pushes and prods his hand-picked team to solve the most difficult cases in the city."
