Sarah Hayley Orrantia (born February 21, 1994), better known as Hayley Orrantia, is an American actress and singer. She is best known for portraying Erica Goldberg on the ABC comedy series The Goldbergs. She was a member of Lakoda Rayne, a country-pop girl group assembled by Simon Cowell during the first season of The X Factor.

Early life

Orrantia was born in Arlington, Texas and grew up in nearby Grand Prairie and Highland Village.

Career

Orrantia began singing professionally at the age of 13, songwriting at the age of 13, and studying acting and piano at age 15. She sang the song "Magic of a Friend" on Disney's Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure soundtrack. She was featured in a Sprint commercial at age 15, and sang background vocals on Disney's Camp Rock 2 and Hannah Montana Forever soundtracks. In 2010, she was cast in the independent film Cooper and the Castle Hills Gang, which premiered at the Dallas International Film Festival.

In 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the first season of The X Factor. Along with a few other solo singers, she was put into a group named Lakoda Rayne for the rest of the auditions. They were eliminated during the fifth week. Since 2013, Orrantia has played Erica Goldberg on the ABC comedy series The Goldbergs.

Personal life

Orrantia was involved in a car crash in September 2013, when she hit another car while "taking her eyes off the road".
