The Los Angeles paternity case for Anna Nicole Smith's daughter took another turn: Prince Frederick von Anhalt, husband of Zsa Zsa Gabor, says he's the dad.

However, Gabor's former publicist said von Anhalt is "a chronic fabricator who likes to inject himself into current events to see himself on television," TMZ.com reported.

Smith, a reality TV star and former model, died in a hospital Thursday after being found unconscious in a hotel room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. A preliminary autopsy was inconclusive about the cause.

Los Angeles photographer Larry Birkhead filed a paternity suit, claiming he is the father of 5-month-old Danielynn. A Los Angeles judge Friday denied his emergency to extract DNS from Smith's body as part of the suit.

Howard K. Stern, Smith's longtime attorney, is listed on the birth certificate as the child's father. He and Smith exchanged rings in a "commitment ceremony" in the Bahamas last year.

The baby, who was born in the Bahamas, did not accompany Smith to Florida.

As part of the ruling Friday, the judge said any custody matters would be considered in a Bahamian court, not a California court.
