Kelly Frank pleaded guilty in Conrad, Mont., Monday to felony theft, misdemeanor obstruction and possessing illegally killed wildlife. In return, a felony solicitation charge against him was dropped, the World Entertainment News Network reported Tuesday.
Frank, a handyman, was arrested in March after an informant told police he was planning to kidnap Letterman's young son, Harry, from the TV star's Montana ranch.
The plea agreement calls for a 10-year prison term for theft and five years for the wildlife possession charge. Sentencing is scheduled for September.
