The real estate company handling the sale of the "World's Largest Thermometer" in California said it's seeking $1.75 million for the landmark.

Baron Castillo of Coldwell Banker Commercial in Los Angeles said the 134-foot-high thermometer in Baker is visible for miles alongside Interstate 15 and just needs a little repair work to be fully functional again, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.
The tower features red circles of lights along its side that, when working, light up in 10-degree increments to indicate the temperature.
"It's a landmark already. All someone has to do is go in there and fix it up the right way," Castillo said.
He said there has been some preliminary interest from a couple of billboard companies.
"What they are looking at is turning it into an LED sign," Castillo said. "The infrastructure is there. I mean that thing is solid."
Matt Pike, the owner of the tower, said in September he had the thermometer switched off to save on the $8,000-per month lighting bills. He told Nevada Public Radio he had hoped to turn it back on when economic conditions improved.
