Sarah Renee Lane, 28, who was arrested in Boulder for failing to appear in court on a dog-at-large ticket, said a police report from June 12 is incorrect in saying she drew police attention by throwing her sandwich at the cab driver near 11th and Pearl streets in the early hours, the Boulder Daily Camera reported Monday.
Lane said she and some friends had been drinking and she was entering the cab when the driver yelled that she couldn't bring the gyro with her.
She said she used an expletive while exiting the cab, leading the driver to exit the vehicle and snatch the gyro from her hand. Lane said she does not remember the ensuing events but her friends said the driver threw the gyro at her.
The police report states Lane threw the gyro at the driver.
Police officers who were nearby noticed the disturbance and arrested Lane on the outstanding warrant.
Lane said she contacted the police department to dispute the version of events in the report.
