A council in Britain has ordered a couple to take down a tiny wind chime after a neighbor filed a complaint about the noise the thing was making.

The Mail on Sunday reported that David Bavington, 57, and his wife, Sheila, had placed the chime outside to create a feeling of peace while sitting in the garden of their Warwickshire home, where noisy airplanes often fly overhead.
But the chime has instead landed the couple in a two-month legal battle with officials at the Rugby Borough Council.
The couple have agreed to move the chime 15 feet from the garden fence to an apple tree, the Mail reported.
"You can't even hear the chime if you go inside the house," said Bavington, a retired sales executive. "But the council said there had been a complaint from someone who was annoyed by the tinkling. I told them it was ridiculous. Sending around officers to listen to a tiny wind chime is a complete waste of taxpayers' money."
